A 'transacting account' is a Hive account that made at least one transaction on the Hive blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or HBD conversion. Users who only read from the Hive blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

    Good to see those HUGE powerdowns now a thing of the past ... but now a fractal pattern (not quite mirror images, but self-similar) shows up on the daily accounts transacting ... it is fascinating to see that, because of the strong patterning about how Hive sort of chills out every weekend ...

    Daily accounts transactions chart (number 3) seems to have developed a stegosaurus style pattern, is that just coincidence? Or something else going on?

    Can´t be coincidence. I also would like to know. Maybe some weekly pattern of automatic json-transactions?

    Yeah could be! Maybe all the games and dapps have a weekly set of transactions that happen to "update/sync" their databases etc?

              You can use HiveJS (https://github.com/openhive-network/hivejs), but you need some programming scills.

                    Awesome stats, is there a reason every 7 days there is a big power down? was there a big power down on a particular date? and then the graph shows the weekly power downs?Was that when Hive forked? I wonder if Steem has a similar pattern?
