Titans vs Chargers Preview - Titans need to show some signs of life! - NFL Week Two

Well, just like that it is already Sunday. As stressful as life gets, a day of football always provides a great distraction from everything.

I just got done watching the Colorado vs Colorado State college football game and that was some epic stuff. It went to OT and Colorado pulled it out in the end. The Deion Sanders era has been outstanding through three games.

But yeah, I just thought I would mention that game, it was a fun one. It serves as a very nice appetizer for the pro action that goes on tomorrow.

For my Titans, they are coming off of a kind of sloppy/depressing one point loss against the Saints. It was not entirely sloppy, most of the sloppiness came from the offense and even special teams. The defense looked pretty strong for the most part.

The Titans arguably have a tougher task ahead of them in week two, as they face the Chargers in their home opener.

The Chargers lost an incredibly close game against the Dolphins last week. That game was a thrilling, high scoring back and forth affair. I would say that perhaps the Chargers defense is suspect, but then again the Dolphins when healthy have proven to be really really good on offense.

The Titans need to play better than the Dolphins did defensively, and even though the Titans don't seem to have much of an actual offense at the moment, hopefully they can improve from that horrid performance from last week. The Chargers may not have a terrible defense, but it's not on the level of the Saints' defense.

The Titans have two starting players out in the secondary which is clearly not a good thing when facing Justin Herbert. Amani Hooker and Kristian Fulton are both out of this contest. Amani played great last week so that stinks. Offensively, lineman Peter Skoronski is out with an illness and receiver DeAndre Hopkins is questionable. Crazy how after just one game, Hopkins is already dealing with an injury. I get the feeling Hopkins just came to Tennessee for the money. Not claiming his injury isn't valid, in fact I kind of expected it. His potential lack of true desire to play for the Titans, could actually lead to an injury. This is all speculation obviously. Who knows. I was excited about D-Hop, but I always knew that his age and recent unavailability were risks. I am starting to feel Julio Jones vibes from D-Hop. Time will tell.

For the Chargers, they're dealing with their own injuries. Key players like running back Austin Ekeler and linebacker Eric Kendricks are out for the game. Both of those players are Pro Bowl caliber talents.

Let's hope the Titans can look like a starting pro offense. It was not like an all-time terrible performance by the Titans on offense last week. Just disturbingly mediocre, and sadly predictable in a way.

I'm very curious to see how Tannehill hopefully bounces back.

I wouldn't be shocked to see the Titans somehow get the upset win. I will be ridiculously happy if they do. I also wouldn't mind seeing them actually score a touchdown!!

I have no idea how to feel about tomorrow, but I'm excited to watch as always!!!!

Let's go!!!

#TITANUP!!!
