Hello, artists and Hiveart community, it's me again, Cristhenos; I hope you all are doing well. Today I bring you the second part of the previous post (putting into practice the methods learned); in order not to make the posts so long, I decided to divide this post in three different parts. As with the previous post, I will explain the method used; in this case it would be the eyes. With nothing more to add, I leave you with the rest of the post.
Hola, artistas y comunidad de Hiveart, soy yo nuevamente, Cristhenos; espero todos se encuentren muy bien. El día de hoy les traigo la segunda parte del post anterior( poniendo en práctica los métodos aprendidos); para no hacer los posts tan largos, decidí dividir ese post en tres partes distintas. Al igual que con el post anterior, explicaré el método utilizado; en este caso sería el de los ojos. Sin más nada que agregar, los dejo con el resto del post.
procedure/Procedimiento
Some of you may already know this method, as I have already brought it to my blog. This method consists of drawing a circle; you can do it with a compass or by hand, as you see fit. The next thing is that we are going to divide it with a cross; this cross can vary depending on the angle or perspective that our eye has. In this case, as the eye is in front, we mark a point, which would be the center or the cornea. To finish, we only need to draw the rest: the eyelids and some lines of expression to give it a more human touch and not to make it look artificial. Now that we have covered the whole method, let's move on to practice.
Este método, ya algunos lo deben de conocer, ya que anteriormente ya lo había traído mi blog. Este método consiste en dibujar un círculo; ustedes pueden hacerlo con un compás o a pulso, como mejor les parezca. Lo siguiente es que lo vamos a dividir con una cruz; esta cruz puede variar dependiendo del ángulo o la perspectiva que tenga nuestro ojo. En este caso, como el ojo está de frente, marcamos un punto, el cual sería el centro o la córnea. Ya para culminar, solo debemos dibujar el resto: los párpados y algunas líneas de expresión para darle un toque más humano y que no parezca algo artificial. Ahora que abarcamos todo el método, pasemos a la práctica.

The first thing we are going to do is to create the initial structure with the initial circle and cross. This is known as the initial sketch. It is the initial expression of something that will be developed later. We can do this with an HB or 2H pencil, this in order not to stain the sheet when erasing the initial structure.
Lo primero que vamos a hacer es crear la estructura inicial con el círculo y la cruz iniciales. Se le conoce como esbozo inicial. Es la expresión inicial de algo que se va a desarrollar posteriormente. Esto lo podemos hacer con un lápiz HB o 2H, esto con el fin de no manchar la hoja al momento de borrar la estructura inicial.
Once we have highlighted our sketch, preferably with a B pencil so as not to highlight it too much.
Una vez tengamos remarcado nuestro boceto, preferiblemente con un lápiz B para no remarcarlo demasiado.
Before starting to give details, I like to add a layer of gray with the H pencil, since I don't like the white of the leaf very much. In the process we give some expression lines more present in the photo; in this case they would be the separation lines of the upper eyelids. There I added a little darker to give that feeling of depth.
Antes de empezar a darle detalles, me gusta agregar una capa de gris con el lápiz H, ya que el blanco de la hoja no me gusta mucho. En el proceso le damos algunas líneas de expresión más presentes en la foto; en este caso serían las líneas de separación de los párpados superiores. Ahí agregué un poco más oscuro para dar esa sensación de profundidad.
To give a sense of realism to the center of the eye, follow these steps. The first thing we will do is to highlight with a 2B pencil around the pupil; for the center of the eye we will use a 4B pencil just to highlight that little black dot. If we look closely, we can see some reflections that look like the person is looking through a window. To create that sensation we just leave the spaces blank; to create those lines present in the iris we just need to take a 4B and a 6B and add lines, but do not fill the whole circle. The important thing here is to play with the tones to create that sensation.
Para darle una sensación de realismo en el centro del ojo, sigue estos pasos. Lo primero que haremos será remarcar con un lápiz 2B alrededor de la pupila; para el centro del ojo utilizaremos un lápiz 4B solo para remarcar ese pequeño punto negro. Si nos fijamos, podemos ver unos reflejos que al parecer la persona está viendo a través de una ventana. Para crear esa sensación solo dejamos los espacios en blanco; ya para crear esas líneas presentes en el iris solo tenemos que tomar un 4B y un 6B e ir agregando líneas, pero que no rellenen todo el círculo. Lo importante aquí es jugar con los tonos para crear esa sensación.
To finish off, you remember I told you not to fill in the whole iris with those lines. Well, what we will do will be to make those lines, but on the edge of the iris, but without letting those lines join with the pupil lines. With this we leave a blank space, which serves as a reflection, and if you want to give it a little more realism, you can use an eraser to play with the light. As a last step, we add the eyelashes with a 4B with the intention of making them strong at the beginning and weak at the end; we give some shadows to simulate the skin and that's it.
Para culminar, recuerdan que les dije que no rellenáramos todo el iris con esas líneas. Bueno, lo que haremos será hacer esas líneas, pero en el borde del iris, pero sin dejar que esas líneas se unan con las de las pupilas. Con esto dejamos un espacio en blanco, el cual sirve como reflejo, y si quieren darle un poco más de realismo, pueden utilizar una borra para jugar con la luz. Como última estancia, agregamos las pestañas con un 4B con la intención de que sean fuertes al inicio y débiles al final; damos algunas sombras para simular la piel y listo.

En esta ocasión utilizaremos la siguiente foto.
This eye, unlike the previous one, is a little more relaxed than the previous one, so at the moment of tracing the cross, he decided not to make it completely centered, but to make it a little lower.
Este ojo, a diferencia del anterior, está un poco más relajado que el anterior, por eso al momento de trazar la cruz decide no hacerla completamente céntrica, sino hacerla un poco más abajo.
We make our initial sketch as in the previous drawing. Once we have erased everything and highlighted, we move on to the shading. One of the things I tried to do here was to correct all the mistakes to make it a little more realistic. One of my mistakes at the beginning was not taking the measurements and it was a bit strange.
Hacemos nuestro esbozo inicial al igual que en el dibujo anterior. Una vez hayamos borrado todo y remarcado, pasamos al sombreado. Una de las cosas que más me propuse aquí fue corregir todos los errores para que quedara un poco más realista. Uno de mis errores al principio fue no tomar las medidas y quedó un poco extraño.
Well, as with the previous sketch, we are going to shade with H pencil and then give it some layers as we develop the drawing.
Bueno, al igual que con el anterior boceto, vamos a sombrear con lápiz H para luego darle algunas capas conforme vayamos desarrollando el dibujo.
To correct some mistakes I had in the previous drawing, I used other pencils such as 8B and F to give more realism to the iris. The trick is to know how to play a lot with the shadows, something I am not very good at.
Para corregir algunos errores que tuve en el dibujo anterior, utilicé otros lápices como el 8B y el F para darle más realismo al iris. El truco está en saber jugar bastante con las sombras, cosa en la que no soy muy bueno.
And to finish, we just highlight the most present areas where there is darkness with a 2B pencil, preferably. For the shadows I use an HB2 pencil and to make the eyelashes thinner than with the previous drawing, I just sharpened the 2B and the rest is just a matter of practice and that's it.
Y para terminar, solo remarcamos las áreas más presentes donde haya oscuridad con un lápiz 2B, preferiblemente. Para las sombras utilizo un lápiz HB2 y para lograr que las pestañas quedaran más delgadas que con el dibujo anterior, solo le saqué punta al 2B y el resto es solo cuestión de práctica y listo.
