Hace poco les conté que después de mucho tiempo estuve visitando la plaza de La Asunción, y aunque fue una visita un poco obligada, ya que estábamos esperando que los niños salieran de clases, la aproveché al máximo pues no solo disfrutamos de la tranquilidad de la plaza, sino que caminamos un poco, y por supuesto no podía dejar de entrar al Centro de Artes Omar Carreño, donde siempre tienen activa alguna exposición artística, cosa que amo realmente.
Al caminar hacia el teatro estaba rogando que tuviesen algo para ver, porque a veces, mientras cambian de una exposición a otra, la sala está vacía pot varios días, por suerte no fue así, y apenas abrí la puerta pude notar que sí tenían obras expuestas, de hecho la sala repleta, y eso me emocionó muchísimo, y claro que bajé de inmediato.
Como siempre, lo primero que hice fue buscar el nombre de la exposición pero en ningún lugar pude encontrarlo, cosa que me extrañó, ya que generalmente lo ubican debajo de la placa que identifica la galería, pero esta vez no había nada, de todas formas no me importó porque los dos espacios de la sala estaban llenos de diferentes obras, así que eso bastaba para mí.
Había muchísimas piezas representando diferentes expresiones artísticas, ya que podías ver pinturas con diferentes técnicas y en diferentes superficies, incluso tenían pinturas intervenidas de manera digital, que estaban absolutamente geniales, esculturas en madera, piedra,y mixtas, piezas de arte digital y fotografía, trabajos en papel, y hasta estaba una con muñequitas de plástico (no le tomé fotos porque no me gustó), en fin, había de todo un poco.
De las piezas que más me gustaron, es esta que les muestro aquí abajo, es una obra mixta, es un oleo que luego fue fotografiado e intervenido de manera digital agregando algunos detalles extra a la pieza y la verdad me encantó. Quizá es un poquito sombría, pero de verdad que me pareció un trabajo excelente.
Otra obra que llamó mucho mi atención (aunque no es de mis favoritas) fue una escultura que tocaba el tema del cambio de género, específicamente da una mirada al tratamiento con hormonas al que se someten quienes desean hacer esta transición. Me resultó interesante el tema, aparte de la escultura en sí, el uso de piezas de madera vieja, junto con artículos médicos me resultó bien creativo.
Por otro lado, el color siempre llamará mi atención, así que no podía pasar por alto esta pieza que me pareció súper linda, donde se aprecia parte del rostro de una mujer con unos labios rojos bien llamativos que se asoman entre una variedad de flores tropicales que para mí era absolutamente hermosa.
La verdad es que disfruté muchísimo la exposición, y la hubiese disfrutado mucho más si no hubiese sido por un chico que la verdad no sé si es empleado del teatro, o el encargado de la exposición, que estuvo pegado a mi todo el tiempo que estuve en la sala, tipo los vendedores de las tiendas, y esto es algo que realmente detesto.
Pienso que debió haber mantenido su distancia, y no estar detrás de mí todo el recorrido, de hecho estaba tan cerca que debía pedirle que se moviera para poder tomar las fotos. Espero que en una próxima visita no suceda esto, porque la verdad fue incómodo, y no le veo sentido alguno a que esté detrás de ti, si ni siquiera habló de la exposición, ni de las obras, en fin, a pesar de él, disfruté la exposición. No como hubiese querido, pero estaba bastante linda.
Recently I told you that after a long time I was visiting La Asunción square, and although it was a bit of an obligatory visit, since we were waiting for the kids to get out of school, I made the most of it because we not only enjoyed the tranquility of the square, but we walked around a bit, and of course I could not miss the Centro de Artes Omar Carreño, where they always have an active art exhibition, which I really love.
As we walked towards the theater I was praying that they had something to see, because sometimes, while they change from one exhibition to another, the room is empty for several days, luckily it was not like that, and as soon as I opened the door I could notice that they did have works on display, in fact the room was full, and that made me very excited, and of course I went down immediately.
As always, the first thing I did was to look for the name of the exhibition but nowhere could I find it, which surprised me, since they usually place it under the plaque that identifies the gallery, but this time there was nothing, anyway I did not care because the two spaces of the room were full of different works, so that was enough for me.
There were many pieces representing different artistic expressions, since you could see paintings with different techniques and on different surfaces, they even had digitally intervened paintings, which were absolutely great, sculptures in wood, stone, and mixed, pieces of digital art and photography, works on paper, and there was even one with plastic dolls (I did not take pictures because I did not like it), in short, there was a little bit of everything.
One of the pieces that I liked the most is the one I show you below, it is a mixed work, it is an oil painting that was photographed and then digitally intervened adding some extra details to the piece and I really loved it. Maybe it's a bit gloomy, but I really thought it was an excellent work.
Another work that caught my attention (although it is not one of my favorites) was a sculpture that touched on the theme of gender change, specifically looking at the hormone treatment that those who wish to make this transition undergo. I found the theme interesting, aside from the sculpture itself, the use of old pieces of wood, along with medical items was very creative.
On the other hand, color will always catch my attention, so I could not overlook this piece that I found super cute, where part of the face of a woman with a very striking red lips peeking between a variety of tropical flowers that for me was absolutely beautiful.
The truth is that I enjoyed the exhibition very much, and I would have enjoyed it much more if it had not been for a guy that I really do not know if he is an employee of the theater, or the person in charge of the exhibition, who was glued to me all the time I was in the room, like the salesmen in the stores, and this is something I really hate.
I think he should have kept his distance, and not been behind me the whole tour, in fact he was so close that I had to ask him to move so I could take the pictures. I hope that in a next visit this will not happen, because the truth was uncomfortable, and I don't see any sense in him being behind you, if he didn't even talk about the exhibition, or the works, anyway, in spite of him, I enjoyed the exhibition. Not as I would have liked, but it was quite nice.

Y bueno para la próxima visita le hablas claro al vendedor de la galería, Jejeje, que deje de perseguir te porque no te vas a llevar ninguna de las obras.🤭🤭🤭

Linda exposición de arte 🎨♥️ lástima que no pudiste disfrutar al 100% bien por la incomoda compañía del chico , son cosas que restan puntos y alejan a los visitantes. El vitral de peces y la pintura de la mujer con labios rojos me gustaron mucho.
