Después de practicar las distintas partes del rostro, ojos, boca y nariz, llegó por fin el momento que había estado esperando por años y era el de poder hacer mi primer rostro realista 🎉 aunque no es perfecto estoy muy feliz porque llevaba años queriendo hacerlo y por el miedo a fallar no me animaba y terminaba postargandolo.
After practicing the different parts of the face, eyes, mouth, and nose, the moment I had been waiting for for years finally arrived: I was able to draw my first realistic face. Although it is not perfect, I am very happy because I had wanted to do it for years, but I was afraid of failing, so I didn't dare to try and ended up putting it off.

mi meta en esta práctica era dibujar un rostro realista lo mejor posible, tampoco use ninguna referencia, es un rostro completamente inventado, simplemente utilicé lo que aprendí en mis prácticas de ojo, boca y nariz para armar el rostro y utilicé la técnica de Andrew Loomis para hacer un rostro lo mas simétrico posible.
My goal in this exercise was to draw a realistic face as best as possible. I didn't use any references; it's a completely invented face. I simply used what I learned in my eye, mouth, and nose exercises to put the face together, and I used Andrew Loomis' technique to make the face as symmetrical as possible.
Cómo dije al principio no quedo perfecto, pero para ser mi primer rostro realista siento que está genial y estoy muy orgullosa de mi por haberme animado, cuando comencé nuevamente mis prácticas de dibujo realista tenía miedo de no ser constante como otras veces, pero aunque me costó bastante con la ayuda de Dios pude soltear todos los obstáculos y retomar mis prácticas las veces que fue necesario.
As I said at the beginning, it's not perfect, but for my first realistic face, I think it's great, and I'm very proud of myself for giving it a try. When I started practicing realistic drawing again, I was afraid I wouldn't be as consistent as before, but even though it was quite difficult, with God's help, I was able to overcome all the obstacles and resume my practice as many times as necessary.

Lo primero que hice fue dibujar un círculo, para que quedara perfecto use la tapa de un recipiente de cocina, también se puede hacer con el compás, pero como no tengo tuve que improvisar, como ya saben los materiales no hacen al artista.
The first thing I did was draw a circle. To make it perfect, I used the lid of a kitchen container. You can also do it with a compass, but since I didn't have one, I had to improvise. As you know, materials don't make the artist.
Luego traze una línea vertical y otra horizontal, así la circunferencia o círculo quedó divida en 4 partes iguales.
Then draw a vertical line and a horizontal line, so that the circumference or circle is divided into four equal parts.
Luego dividí cada eje de cada cuarto en 3 partes iguales, con esas divisiones tengo las primeras referencias para la cabeza.
Then I divided each axis of each quarter into three equal parts, and with those divisions I have the first references for the head.
Cómo indicó en la imagen, ya tengo la línea donde nace el cabello, la línea de las cejas, base de la nariz y la línea de la boca. Para saber dónde va la barbilla medi la distancia que hay desde la línea de las cejas hasta la base de la nariz y traslade esa medida a la parte de abajo y allí va la barbilla. Luego toda la distancia desde la línea de las cejas hasta la barbilla la dividí en 6 partes iguales, está división es importante porque allí sabremos dónde va la línea de los ojos.
As shown in the image, I already have the hairline, the eyebrow line, the base of the nose, and the mouth line. To find out where the chin goes, I measured the distance from the eyebrow line to the base of the nose and transferred that measurement to the bottom, and that's where the chin goes. Then I divided the entire distance from the eyebrow line to the chin into 6 equal parts. This division is important because it tells us where the eye line goes.
A partir de aquí comencé con el boceto del rostro y para ubicar donde van los ojos, dividí la línea de los ojos en cinco partes iguales y allí comencé a dibujarlos, trate de hacerlos lo más simétricos posible, pero bueno al ser la primera vez no quedó tan simétrico que digamos. 🤭
From here, I began sketching the face. To determine where the eyes should go, I divided the eye line into five equal parts and began drawing them there. I tried to make them as symmetrical as possible, but since it was my first time, they didn't turn out very symmetrical. 🤭
Para saber el ancho de la nariz me guío de los lágrimales de los ojos, para eso trazo una línea casi invisible desde el lagrimal hacia la base de la nariz y ese será el ancho de la misma.
To determine the width of the nose, I use the tear ducts as a guide. I draw an almost invisible line from the tear duct to the base of the nose, and that will be the width of the nose.
Para determinar el ancho de la boca tengo que dibujar primero las pupilas de los ojos, como pueden ver en la imagen desde la pupila hacia la línea de la boca trazo una línea y ese debe ser el ancho de la boca.
To determine the width of the mouth, I first have to draw the pupils of the eyes. As you can see in the image, I draw a line from the pupil to the mouth line, and that should be the width of the mouth.
Estás medias son para hacer un rostro imaginario o inventado, pero no aplica para dibujar el rostro de alguna persona, ya que el rostro de cada quien es diferente, pero para hacer un rostro de cero, inventado la técnica de Loomis es bastante buena.
These guidelines are for creating an imaginary or invented face, but they do not apply to drawing someone's actual face, since everyone's face is different. However, for creating a face from scratch, Loomis' technique is quite good.
Para hacer lo que es el contorno de la cara, desde la línea del cabello hacía abajo se traza una línea, exagerando un poco el trazo en la zona de la mandíbula y de esta forma quedó listo el boceto del rostro.
To draw the outline of the face, draw a line from the hairline downwards, exaggerating the line a little in the jaw area, and the sketch of the face is now complete.
Luego continúe haciendo los detalles del rostro, como las cejas, los ojos la nariz, recuerdo que olvide dibujar las orejas 🤭 al final las hice solo como practica porque de todas formas quedan escondidas detrás el cabello.
Then continue with the details of the face, such as the eyebrows, eyes, and nose. I remember forgetting to draw the ears 🤭. In the end, I just drew them for practice because they are hidden behind the hair anyway.
Luego seguí detallando la nariz, la boca, básicamente aplicando lo aprendido anteriormente y ese fue el resultado, mi primer rostro realista. 🥰
Then I continued detailing the nose and mouth, basically applying what I had learned previously, and that was the result: my first realistic face. 🥰
Aún me falta muchísimo por aprender y practicar, pero esto ya es un logro enorme para mí, paso a paso, poco a poco 🐢 a mi propio ritmo voy logrando esas cositas que jamás creí lograría hacer.
I still have a lot to learn and practice, but this is already a huge achievement for me. Step by step, little by little, 🐢 at my own pace, I am accomplishing those little things that I never thought I would be able to do.
