Hola soy Softy y quiero contarles la historia de Napoleón, la mascota de mi canal, como algunos ya sabrán soy vtuber además de artista.
Hello, I'm Softy and I want to tell you the story of Napoleon, the mascot of my channel, as some of you may already know, I am a vtuber as well as an artist.
En varias de mis libretas y powerpoints se puede ver a Napo haciendo cosas relacionadas a lo que sea que necesite comunicar en el momento. Pero al hacerme Vtuber quería una mascota fácil de reconocer así que decidí que Napo era la mejor opción porque ya estaba creado
In several of my notebooks and powerpoints you can see Napo doing things related to whatever I need to communicate at the moment. But when I became a Vtuber I wanted an easy to recognize mascot so I decided that Napo was the best option because it was already created
Empezó siendo un dibujo rápido que acompañaba mis notas. Ya que cuando empecé la facultad me sentía muy abrumada por todo y me ayudaba a organizarme haciendo dibujos con tablas de lo que me quedaba por leer o listas de contenidos con dibujos de napo.
It started as a quick drawing that accompanied my notes. Since when I started college I felt very overwhelmed by everything and I organized myself by making drawings with checklists of what I had left to read or lists of contents with napo drawings.
Su nombre proviene del libro rebelión en la granja y en su primer dibujo lo hice disfrazado de Napoleon Bonaparte ya que me parecío una idea graciosa.
His name comes from the book Farm Rebellion and in his first drawing I made him dressed as Napoleon Bonaparte since I thought it was a funny idea.
Fui haciendo varios dibujos de él como si fuesen stickers para pegar en mis hojas que más adelante cuando me hice vtuber sirvieron como emotes provisorios
I made several drawings of him as if they were stickers to paste on my sheets that later, when I became a vtuber, served as temporary emotes.
Napo paso por varias versiones, el diseño original tenia las orejas mas puntiagudas y su cara un poco mas chiquita, aparte de estar hechos en tradicional.
Napo went through several versions, the original design had more pointed ears and a slightly smaller face, apart from being made traditionally.
Su segunda versión vino cuando me dispuse a pasarlo a digital en la que sus orejas se hicieron menos puntiagudas y sus ojos y patas más grandes ya que el diseño anterior en digital tenía demasiados parecidos a un gato y se veía algo raro en pantalla. Aparte de eso le agregue más detalles a su carita, un pequeño filtro de ruido y un borde blanco para que sea más visible en distintos fondos.
His second version came when I was about to convert him to digital in which his ears became less pointed and his eyes and paws larger since the previous digital design had too many similarities to a cat and looked somewhat strange on the screen. Apart from that, I added more details to his face, a small noise filter and a white border to make it more visible on different backgrounds.
Eventualmente me puse a trabajar en mi branding como Vtuber y siempre mi mascota tenía que estar presente de una forma u otra así que lo incorporé en logos, banner, etc ¡Incluso pueden verlo cuando firmo mi arte!
Eventually I started working on my branding as a Vtuber and my mascot always had to be present in one way or another so I incorporated it into logos, banners etc. You can even see it when I sign my art!
Le tengo muchisimo cariño a este circulo con patas, es fácil de dibujar también así que pensé que sería bueno para gente que quiera hacer fanart pero no pueda o le intimide dibujar mi png.
I am very fond of this circle with legs, it is easy to draw too so I thought it would be good for people who want to make fanart but can't or are intimidated by drawing my png.
¡Hace poco estuve en una collab donde me tenía que dibujar a mí misma con un pokemon así que hice un Lechonk shiny para poder tener algo cercano a Napo en el dibujo!
I was recently in a collab where I had to draw myself with a pokemon so I made a shiny Lechonk so I could have something close to Napo in the drawing!

Me ha gustado saber más sobre el desarrollo creativo de Napoleón, pero de dónde surgió la idea de dibujar un cerdo con un sombrero de Napoleón?

Al inicio la idea era dibujar algún perrito pero después me decidí por un cerdito porque son rosados, después me acordé de Bola de Nieve y Napoleón de Rebelión en la granja y usé el nombre de uno. El sombrero es como un cosplay de Napoleón Bonaparte ya que son tocayos jajaja
