Memories are like bricks that make up our life! The more often we travel, the more bright and diverse bricks it contains :)
Today, I want to return with my memories to the year 2018, when there was peace, my parents were alive, and I thanked God in my prayers for this blessed time, when wars remained in the distant past. After all, we are modern people - homosapiens! Wars are terrible events from the past! How I really believed in it!...

My daughter Victoria and I went abroad for the first time to meet the most progressive people of the planet Earth! That's what I called the people of our blockchain, friends! True, then there was Steemit, but most people are still together in Hive. I still think so: bright and blessed people have gathered here, who enrich and support each other with their knowledge and experience... A new field of earning in the field of crypto was like life on another planet for me. So we decided to go. This was our chance: Krakow is located at a distance of 320 km away from our native Lviv. It was only necessary to cross the Ukraine-Poland border. At that moment, I had not traveled abroad for many years, everything had changed... It was scary. For Victoria, this was the first independent experience, and if you consider that at that time she was 14 years old, you can imagine our fear and euphoria. We knew English at the elementary level, we did not know Polish. But we were filled with determination, enthusiasm and faith: there we will meet friends from all over the world!

Booking bus tickets, looking for an apartment on Booking - this was all done by my 14-year-old @bugavi! At that time, she was the youngest Hivian :) And I watched her happiness from this exciting trip and rejoiced: a world filled with new opportunities is opening before my Victoriya!

And so we came to the address, where the settlement was independent, without a master. It was the first time and it was a strange and fascinating experience for me, a person from the former Soviet Union. The modern design of this small, cozy studio apartment on the second floor in the old part of Krakow won our hearts. We spent three unforgettable days there.

Old Polish houses, similar to ours in Lviv, could be seen from the window! After all, the Austro-Hungarian Empire left a beautiful architectural heritage in our neighboring countries. In the evening, we went to the first evening meeting of the festival, where we had to register as participants.

I remember how we stood for 20 minutes on the bridge over the Vistula River and were afraid to enter the Qubus Hotel, where the first festive buffet was held. It was already dark and there was a beautiful sunset. These are dear memories in my heart.

My little enthusiastic daughter, who for the first time met virtual friends from all over the world, who turned out to be friendly and kind. For us, many people became real friends after the festival and our communication continues.

There was a rich program of lectures and a very generous treat. There was also an interesting excursion program. And the first place where we walked was the amazingly beautiful pedestrian bridge across the Vistula River.

We walked through the narrow streets of old Krakow, enjoying its unique houses. High spired tiled roofs are the decoration of these houses. It was a warm November day. Tourist ships plied the river.
Giant ships - restaurants stood near the shore... It was very interesting to explore historical Krakow.

The pedestrian bridge
Father Bernatek's bridge in Kraków across the Vistula began to function in 2010. The basis for its construction was the foundation and supports of the Pidigir bridge. This building has the appearance of an arch and is practically hinged. Its width is three meters. It is made in a modern style and has various lights that have a particularly impressive appearance at night. The arch pipe is attached to the supports on opposite banks, thus connecting them. The bridge has two bicycle and pedestrian paths, separated from each other by structures decorated with figures of gymnasts.

A bridge for lovers. Couples come here and bring locks to leave them here and seal their hearts with this lock forever. We see such symbols everywhere. It looks very beautiful. But this particular feature of this bridge is the figures that are fixed in the air and seem to be dancing or performing gymnastic tricks.

We walked along there for a long time, looking at the interesting elements of the unique bridge. I took a commemorative photo of Victoria with an orange SteemFest scarf around her neck. She felt like an adult and was full of bright impressions.

We walked for a long time between the old houses of the night city of Krakow, enjoying the autumn trees, which were illuminated by the light of lanterns.

In the evening we went to the main square of Krakow, where the royal palace stands.
At night, it all glowed with gold, and around it rode royal horses carrying luxurious carriages. Tourists really felt like they were in the past time of the royal city of Krakow.

The Market Square, or Main Market Square in Krakow, is one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. It was built in 1257 and was very extensive for that time, but gradually overgrown with new buildings and blended into the urban landscape. The layout of the square has been preserved unchanged since the 13th century - it is a slightly irregular square with sides of 200 meters, from each side of which there are three streets leading to the entrance gate of Krakow. The surrounding area of the building was erected in the 14th-15th centuries, but over time it was rebuilt more than once, so now we see facades in the classical style of the 17th-19th centuries, in which many architectonic fragments of the Renaissance and Baroque have been preserved.

Saturday... Memories ... There are different opinions about whether we need them. Some people believe that it is not necessary to immerse oneself in memories, but to live only in the present, to look only to the future. Others are stuck in the past, living with memories and only memories. I always choose the middle ground. We have different periods in our life. And then memories are need , as well as active actions. Sometimes memories heal our tired souls when we don't want to do anything. But, in my opinion, the main task of memories is to inspire us to new achievements, to awaken nice nostalgia for travel, to give energy for work, to draw useful conclusions that sometimes come after many years ... You can add to this list in your head :)
The idea to create #saturdaymemories came to me about a year ago, when my phone refused to work, shouted, blunted and asked for help to clear his memory! But you know how it happens, we delete a few photos and then calm down. And then it only worked as a tag. But I noticed that some people liked the idea, and they started to support it. Usually these are people like me, who have traveled a lot, led an active lifestyle and have a habit of taking pictures ))) And then I decided to create a community Saturday Memories to make it a useful habit: every Friday you can clean your Google archive photos to remember interesting events that you may not have had time to tell, or because of lack of time wrote very little! A lot of photos left that you did not show here and now there is an opportunity. The main thing: write interesting memories not only to you, but also to the pleasure of your readers!

Thank you for your support!

Truly a majestic place to visit. Nothing could be better then this place to have meetup. Steemfest was really amazing, it let the people from all around the world to gather at one place. I do remember there were many great people in that meetup. Do we had Hive fest ? or not ? or is it coming in the next year?

Yes, Memories are the very important part of life, we remember them through out our life, There are some good memories and also there are some bad memories, Both are valuable for us.

We really wanted to go to Hive Test in Thailand in 2019, but alas. circumstances did not allow us to do this.
I'm glad you understand the value of memories...

I also used to work on Steemit but then when hive either I also came to it and then I stopped working for some time and now I have started again. It is a very disturbing scene that a person is settled in a place and is living a very happy life with his family and because of war he has to leave his country, then the person starts to feel very sad inside. I also have many friends with steemit and now all are on hive but I haven't met them yet my try is to go to any country in 2025 and meet them all there. Time flies by so quickly and we are left with memories of the time you shared with us. It's also a very brave thing to come to another country and meet people, but I know that all the people on steemit were very good. If you are not angry, let me ask you one thing, where is your husband?. All these places looks so beautiful and amazing. Thanks for sharing your memories with us.

Back then, when hive was created, we were really confused. We did not know which blockchain would be more promising. But we believed these leaders who were then at SteemFest. We definitely stayed in the hive. The trust was so great.
My husband stayed in Ukraine. He is a volunteer.

You are absolutely right, when one goes somewhere and meets new people for the first time, there is definitely anxiety, but the way we have interacted with Hive people so far, they are very nice. What is the situation in Ukraine today, what does your husband say?

The war continues. The world cannot stop Russian terror!

Oh thats so sad.

I really amazed your blogs maam,so nice😍
Anyway ,so pretty young lady 😍wish I could have a daughter too😊

Thank you for the kind words. May God bless you to have a daughter 💕

I hope I will visit both Krakow and Warsaw some day. I like the architecture of the middle Europe cities, I can add Budapest and Prague as well.

Have a good week!

I saw three of these cities. These are Krakow, Budapest, Prague. They all look like brothers. Each of them has its own unique face. Of course the bridges are the unique touches in these faces :) Thanks for reading my blog!

It's really an amazing day, how nice it is to be able to enjoy the trip together with our loved ones, not to mention the place you visited is very interesting, I love the house you live in and there is only one word for sunset amazing

The photos of our trip will forever leave vivid memories in our hearts. The sunset over the river is the most beautiful thing we get on every trip. I'm glad you like it :)

That would be a very precious memory, thank you for your response

Гарні світлини, особливо та де біля кіпрічної стіни стоять біленькі чашки, та солодощі. Солодкого захотілося

Yes, I agree. Beautiful design of an old Polish house from the inside. The brick wall element makes it stylish. Sweets were very exclusive and delicious at this festival. I would eat it now too :)

Oh I love the place. Your daughter still looks so young there.. 😊 !PIZZA
