CARMEN

Cualquier mujer
no puede llamarse Carmen.
Es imposible que suceda
y no muera una estrella perfumada de vergüenza.

Llamarse Carmen significa,
en primer lugar,
tener en el centro de la mejilla
un lunar de fuego,
en la boca una sonrisa
como de peces,
y alrededor del pubis,
un tatuaje de mar con flechitas doradas,
atravesando el mapa indescifrable
de la noche
donde se hunden,
sin remedio,
marineros tibios de alcohol
y esperanzas.

Toda Carmen tiene miel chorreando en las caderas
mientras danza al viento,
sus pasiones prohibidas
y sus poetas.

Entonces, puede llamarse Carmen,
tocar a mi puerta sin pudor
e ir robando mi alma
en fragmentos
de ilusiones y promesas
para guiar mis pasos
de la madrugada al día,
a resguardo de las balas.

CARMEN.

Any woman
cannot be called Carmen.
It is impossible for it to happen
and not die a star perfumed with shame.

To be called Carmen means,
in the first place,
to have in the center of one's cheek
a mole of fire,
on the mouth a smile
like a fish,
and around the pubis,
a tattoo of the sea with golden arrows,
crossing the undecipherable map of the night
of the night
where they sink,
hopelessly,
sailors warm with alcohol
and hopes.

Every Carmen has honey dripping from her hips
as she dances in the wind,
her forbidden passions
and her poets.

So, she can be called Carmen,
knocking on my door without shame
and steal my soul
in fragments
of illusions and promises
to guide my steps
from dawn to day,
safe from bullets.
