Could Argentina Abolish its Central Bank?

Stackers understand the value of Sound Money and we often talk about the problems with Loose Monetary Policy inevitably leading to Hyperinflation or other forms of Financial Crisis, but if you want a current day example of what this looks like then you need look no further than Argentina. Inflation in Argentina recently hit about 116% Annually and has been rising steadily for some years now. Needless to say the country is facing a pretty severe economic crisis and if this is our future in the West then we should be paying close attention!

What’s really interesting right now though is that Argentina is in a Presidential Election Cycle and has been in the process of running it’s Primaries. One of the candidates who has gained a lot of support from many disgruntled Argentinian voters is a staunch Libertarian outsider named Javier Milei. This guy just shocked the establishment political parties by capturing 30% of the National Vote and in the process won 16 out of 24 Regions in the primary elections. He now looks destined to be the front-runner in a run-off vote for the actual Presidency in October this year. Why is this important? Well just take a look at his policies….

Possibly the most controversial one is that he wants to Abolish the Central Bank. Listening to this guy speak about the scam that is Fiat Currency and Central Banking is like Manna from Heaven for both Stackers and Crypto Lovers alike. He seems to understand and appreciate the importance of Sound Money and he speaks about Bitcoin, Gold and the History of Money in this short clip which is just 2 and a half minutes of Truth Bombs on those subjects. It leaves me wondering. Could this guy actually win the Presidency? Then, if he does, is it possible that he could abolish the Central Bank of Argentina like he is suggesting? Obviously the establishment is already going after him with smears like the inevitable comparisons to Donald Trump – even though Trump is not a Libertarian and his policies are actually quite different. What the establishment fear is anyone challenging their narrative and they call upstarts like Javier Milei Populists. Those of us who are Awake know that this is just another label they use to smear someone who is popular but doesn’t adhere to the establishment narratives.

All I know is that I personally hope that he can shake things up. Even if all he does is bring some awareness to the problems with Central Banking and the Fiat Currency scam then he’s a positive force for badly needed reform of our broken Financial Systems. I hope they don’t assassinate him before he gets his chance to make a difference.

Sort:

After 5 currency resets in Argentina's history you'd think they already have gone back to gold and silver by now but kept repeating the same things hoping for a different result. Good luck with fingers crossed Mr. Melei, I hope you make it to the President's office, and invest in a good quality armored vest and helmet asap.

Yes, it does seem like they are slow learners over there but maybe they have finally learnt!

I certainly hope it doesn't take our people 5 currency resets to figure it out....

I'm just glad "We the People" have the "Military" on our side, and not the Central Bank Owners...

Are you sure about that? I reckon we've fought a few wars to prop up the banksters empire over the years...

We've been Draining the Swamp, from the Bottom Up...

From what I heard he is even thinking about getting rid of the argentinian currency and replace it with the US$, for more stability.
Then they would not need a central bank as we usually see it. Obviously they would not be allowed to print US$ themself.
Which gets us to the question: what would the USA say to that plan? And what do they think of a possible president Milei in general?
Well, the good thing is - it can hardly get much worse for Argentinia than it is already.

Yes, it's interesting. Adopting USD would be a contradiction in some ways since there is fiat currency and a central bank behind USD and the US government likes to print money too....

But maybe he's just trying not to get assassinated by the CIA.

Well, compared with the Argentinian currencies, the US$ is still rock solid.
And the idea is not new - these countries already do that:
Ecuador
El Salvador
East Timor (Timor-Leste)
Zimbabwe (though other currencies are also widely used)
British Virgin Islands
Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba)
Turks and Caicos Islands
Zimbabwe (since 2009, due to hyperinflation of its own currency)

But maybe he's just trying not to get assassinated by the CIA.

There is that, too... Wouldn't be the first time.

the bankers won't allow it. What would it mean for them to see that it goes without?

That's the interesting bit. It'd be historic and I'm sure a major change like that would reverberate around the world. There's a lot at stake for the banksters....

I not only hope he wins but that he can succeed in eliminating the corrupt central bank of Argentina. Finally someone who understands you can't print money to fix your economy...

Interesting. Will he be able to eliminate the corruption in Argentina?

Getting rid of the central bank sound money to me🤣

The situation here in Pakistan is also similar, the price of petrol has been increased twice in the last one month and it is very wrong because people are now very worried and committing suicide. That they don't have any money to live their lives, even after working hard day and night, people here can only earn 1000 Pakistani rupees and here too, so much tax has been imposed in the electricity bills that the bill is free. Man cannot fill with these money.

I hope this guy has a good security detail…

It will be interesting to watch!

They are fucked. It’s more on a shit show then most.

That would be perfect in a land named for Silver!

I doubt bud, if anything he'll probably have attempts on people trying to take his life.

But yeah if he can manage to shine the light on the problems perhaps things would start to change

OH man, sad to know about the inflation hike in Argentina, Hopefully, their new president will overcome this flying inflation with his efforts for the people living in the country.

we are facing the same situation but no body ready here to work for it.

Well, it is obvious that so many people want Javier Milei
It is very possible for him to win the presidency
Let's see how it goes
