As I mentioned in my silver portfolio review from this weekend I purchased 8 more oz to add the stack. I was pleasantly surprised when I got home yesterday to see that they had been delivered!
I love being able to grab a stack of silver there really is no other feeling when you have the weight in your hands. It’s like a childhood glee on Christmas morning when you get to open the package and inspect the treasure that’s inside.
For this last buy I ended up looking for the lowest premium on the market. I found a deal on some secondary market silver that was pretty well priced against spot. I had no idea what I was going to receive and I’m pretty happy with the designs.
For today’s post I’m focusing in on this beautiful round. I love the design and it’s something I did not already have in my collection. The 1 oz American Prospector was in great condition. I don’t mind but secondary market.
For those that don’t know the secondary market for silver refers to the buying and selling of silver items that are not newly minted or produced. This includes previously owned silver coins, bars, and other forms of silver that have been circulated or used before. Buying silver on the secondary market can offer several advantages. It may be more cost-effective compared to purchasing newly minted items, as secondary market silver often comes with lower premiums over the current spot price. Additionally, collectors may find unique or rare pieces in the secondary market that are no longer in production.

I'm sniffing around for deals around Canada Premiums are better but still remain stubbornly high. Now seems a good time to Dollar cost average in.

I love buying secondary silver it’s like pot luck. You got a score on that one those prospectors are nice.

It's a cool design. I had not seen them offered before. I need to dig into them a bit more as I saw some are rare depending on the year and mint.

I love some of those secondary market finds. I have a couple that I picked up on AMPEX a while ago. They are pretty cool. Plus it's fun being surprised by what you get!
The mystery was the best part. I'll post a few of my other rounds that came soon.
