The Big Trade part 2. Bank robbery.

Last time in part 1 of The Big Trade I started by selling a few stale old horse coins to buy some shiny new pig coins. But the TD bank substituted some lower value plain generic silver rounds instead. Not cool.

Well after months of emails back and forth we came to an agreement: choose 10 other coins offered on their site. Cha-ching!
I think I will choose the $125 each silver Avenger coins in individual tin cases with certificates of authenticity. All I have to do is exchange them at my nearest TD bank branch.

Look at that haul! 5 Wolverine and 5 Black Widow coins. I'd definitely let Scarlett Johansson bite me...

Of course I couldn't go into a public building without my mask on 'cause of this pandemic thing going on, so I get up to the bank teller lady and tell my story. She says 'ok let me check my files'. 'Umm this other package is much bigger than what you are returning' she says. 'Yep' I said. After much chatting with her co-workers she reluctantly made the exchange and this masked robber was off in my Honda.

Look at these things, each 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver.

Each tin also has some sort of lapel pin if you're into that sort of thing. And look at the coa, even they're made of silver-2 grams worth. Thats a new one for me.

Can you believe that? For $370 I wound up with $1250 worth of of collector coins. Do I even want to keep these though? Tune in next time for part 3: Trading Up.
