Well it finally arrived! This is no ordinary Silver Eagle but the "new design" Eagle.
For the purposes of dramatic flair, I first posted the face which is in fact exactly the same as the prior design.
The OLD design on the reverse features an Eagle that is exactly the same as the Eagle on the Great Seal of the United States.
The old design is no more! Out with the old and in with the new.

Now for a complete dose of hopium, the Eagle in the new design is no longer holding the arrows, only the olive branch remains in the talons.
Perhaps the new Eagle is a sign of a new era of peace.
I realize that the world is falling apart all around us and yet I have HOPE and a new Eagle on the stack, so for me life is GOOD.
I paid a hefty premium for the coin, so this purchase was not for simply stacking purposes. Several months ago I bought the 2021 "old design" and wanted to own the 2021 "new design" which I think is pretty cool.
Yep that's me, a nerd. But a nerd with a new bright shiny Eagle.
So what do you think? Does owning the new design and the old design minted in the same year SUPER COOL or a sure sign of NERDOM!

i love it. i like to collect all kinda coins too.
I bought one and that’s all I’m buying. Instead of buying a raw one i bought a graded MS70 instead for $18 over what a raw one sold for.
If you are collecting that is the way to go!

I looked long and hard for the Libertad before buying the new Eagle.
I've only got one of the type 1, I'll be waiting a month or two for my finances return to normal before putting Type 2 with another hand picked order I planned for the next quarter.
