Here they call it the Dutch le thaler
I had one of these many years ago, I think it was 1619
Although I got a price much lower than it was worth, I learned a lot from it, including trading :)

The older the better I feel for my collection. Feel like I learn more from the older pieces.
The older the piece, the more history. And for me, they are more appealing.
I agree. I have learned more about history through coin collecting than I feel in school.
