Aussie Big Things 2 Coin Collectables

Aussie Big Things 2 Coins – The Next Chapter in Celebrating Australia’s Roadside Giants

Australia has long had a love affair with its quirky, oversized landmarks — from the Big Banana to the Big Pineapple, the Big Lobster and beyond. For collectors, the “Big Things” phenomenon is both nostalgic and iconic. Now, the next wave of that love is arriving with the Aussie Big Things 2 Collectables coin series from Australia Post.

What’s Coming

The “Aussie Big Things 2 Collectables” range is set to land on 24 September 2025 at Australia Post stores nationwide.

It will include a 10‑coin Tube and Folder set. Purchasing this set gives you the chance to gain one of the valuable coloured coins as well.

You can buy the coins individually, however, they seem to be more valuable when purchased as a set.

Here's the $200 collectible set available as well:

The series builds off the success of the first Aussie Big Things coin collection. The design will follow Australia Post’s tradition: bright, fun, celebrating various Big Things sculptures around the country.

There will be a special incentive of a $20,000 draw for anyone purchasing a set. The inclusion of the $20,000 prize draw with the tube & folder set makes collecting more than just a hobby

These coins tap into something uniquely Australian — the road trips, the out‑of‑town wonders, the humour and scale of Big Things. For many, they recall childhood travels and the wonderment of seeing these in real-life.

The first Big Things coins (from the earlier releases) have become quite sought after.

The Aussie Big Things 2 Collectables series looks like it will build on what worked with the first round, delivering fresh designs, strong appeal, and some special incentives. As with most coin‑collecting releases, part of the fun is being part of the launch, watching designs revealed, and seeing which Big Things make the final cut.

If you're a collector like me, you need to be at the shop early when they are released. They usually sell out in a few hours.

Keep an eye out on my reveal post in the coming days!
