Buying the Samoa Mermaid Mother & Daughter from Scottsdale Mint was an opportunity to get another of their Stacker Round. The noted a slight increase in price from the last time I purchased one. I got it anyway.
Scottsdale Stacker® 2 ounces
The original Stacker® Round from Scottsdale Mint weighs two Troy Ounces of.999 Fine Silver. It stacks and interlocks with the 5 oz and 10 oz sizes. It's not quite a coin or bar, but rather a completely new class of precious metal with Ultra High relief definition. Made with 999 Pure Silver in the U.S.A.
The Scottsdale Mint logo is a male lion’s head with a crown. In a stunning 3D, ultra-high relief, the lion's huge mane and menacing gaze leap off the obverse face.
This is a 2-ounce round, which is the smallest of the Silver Stackers. The largest Silver Stacker on the market is the Scottsdale KILO Stacker, which weighs a full kilo of fine silver. The 100 troy ounce King Stacker and the 10-ounce Silver Stacker are two of Scottsdale Mint's best-selling silver products. What is the largest Stacker® Round that you own?
The main face's reverse impression is on the back of the round. This allows the lion’s head from the obverse side of other rounds to fit snuggly within the inverse field on this side of the round. The inscriptions are written twice: 2 troy oz. 999 Fine Silver Scottsdale Mint Stacker Round.
High relief coins are more three-dimensional than a standard coins. These coins cannot be easily stacked because their images extend above the outer edge. On ultra-high relief coins, the image rises even higher. These coins elevate the level of detail that can be seen and felt in the image. Collectors often note that high relief coins and ultra-high relief coins feel more like a medallion, pendant or even a tiny sculpture than a standard coin. Collectors can expect mints to charge a higher premium for high relief and ultra-high relief coins, as these coins require special presses and repeated strikes.

When stacked together, it is seamless! I just place the bottom bar slightly ajar in the above photo, to show that it isn't a 10-ounce bar.
