The majority of people at the time of America's formation spent their whole lives in their respective towns. There were three ways to go around the area: on foot, by horse and buggy, or in a wagon or carriage drawn by a horse.
We continue the series of silver bars by featuring the
Vintage SilverTowne Mint Horse-Drawn Carriage
Between 1815 and 1915, horse-drawn carriages were among the most widely used modes of transportation.
People had horses; wealthier households had carriages that they either purchased or rented; wagons and carts were used to transport products.
Since the horse and buggy offered a dependable and effective mode of transportation, the 19th century came to be associated with them. People from various walks of life used it because of its ease of use and adaptability. The horse and buggy were essential components of daily living, whether it was for errands, leisure trips, or daily commuting.
The horse and buggy were a symbol of social standing in addition to being a functional mode of transportation. One's wealth and social standing were frequently indicated by the kind of carriage they possessed. The wealthy elite were the ones who could afford the elaborate carriages with their exquisite designs and premium materials; the middle and working classes, on the other hand, were more likely to own modest buggies.
New modes of transportation, like cars and trains, progressively took the place of the horse and buggy as the 19th century went on. Its memory and impact are still deeply ingrained in our cultural past. The horse-drawn carriage is a symbol of a period of invention, advancement, and independence that results from more convenient means of transportation.
It serves as a testament to human ingenuity and the relentless pursuit of increasingly advanced methods of transportation.

Ah right, beautiful, yeah they can be tricky to take photos of as some (shiny) coins are.
That one is beautiful, what great condition! There are just so many cool bars out there to collect... Probably can't collect them all but your are on your way!
Gosh, I just buy what I like... and they are pretty generic. I am very conscious of premiums. That is the only way to win in this game. If you buy high-premium coins, rounds, or bars, you will never know if you are going to recover. That is why we are not calling it "investment," but a "safe haven." But so far, so good, @thebighigg !!!
