Old Coins: Are Some of The Gems Brought From The Past

Greetings everyone, today I will share some of my Old coins I've collected today and making a study about the old coins makes me more fun and enjoyable. In a simple explanation, collecting old coins or having an old coins is great and precious Gems brought from the past. Not only for the value or rate of the old coins now-a-days but for keeping the important treasures during our ancestors era. Today, I have some old coins I've collected and I am thankful for my GrandFather who gave me some of the old coins He have. As part of the blog and article I've created, we will learn and know the Description about the old coins that I am going to share here.

First is the 1944 old coin. Period during Commonwealth here in the Philippines between 1935 to 1946. The composition of this coin contains the following;

  • 95% [ Copper ]
  • 5% [ Zinc ]

The weight of this coin is up to 5.3 grams with the diameter of 25 mm and thickness of 1.65 mm. This kind of old coin can be sold with the price of 2.43 Dollars. The design engraved a man seating and facing at the volcano while the back side of the coin represents the America seal.

Next is the 1966 coin and the value of 25 centavos. The composition of this coin are the following;

  • 70% [ Copper ]
  • 18% [ Zinc ]
  • 12% [ Nickel ]

The weight of this coin is 5 grams with 24 mm in diameter and 1.6 mm in thickness. The design of this coin is a woman standing and a volcano at her back. This coin can be sell also at the price of 1.5 dollars each.

Next is the 1989 50 centavo coin. The composition of this coin are copper and nickel and has a weight of 6 grams and a diameter of 25 mm with 1.62 thickness. This kind of coin can also sell at the value of 1.73 Dollars. The design at the back of this coin is an eagle and already included as rare coins.

I also collected some foreign coins just like this one. As I learned about this coin, it was named as 1 Fils Emirate of Kuwait coins. The currency is Dinar between 1960 to 1990 and 1991 date. The composition of this coin are nickel and brass with a weight of 2 grams and the diameter of 17 mm. The thickness is 1.3 mm, a design of a boat with an arabic markings.

Last is this 1984 large 1 Peso Coin. The composition of this thing are copper and nickel with a weight at about 9.5 Grams and the diameter is 29 mm. The thickness of this coin is up to 1.9 mm.

For me, collecting old things specially coins is very fun, and as for that I will keep myself collecting those old coins. This is a very great treasures and a gems to my life. Old coins are already a small piece brought from the past, and it is better to preserve this for many years to come. There are lots of old coins here in our Country some of it are valuable and some old coins are not, but it is perfect for decorating at my Cabinet.
