With just 8000, 1oz Silver proof coins minted, could the "Rolling Stones" coloured silver coin be a hit? Straight off the bat, the answer is a resounding NO!!
The Royal Mints MUSIC LEGENDS series started with a bang, but fizzled out rather rapidly.... The series itself promised so much, giving us greats like Queen, Elton John amd David Bowe. But collectors of coins never bought in to it.
Coinciding with the bands 60th anniversary, this is the first time theyve appeared on a UK legatender coin. The coloured, silver proof coin comes with a hefty price tag of £105. Which is another reason why i dont believe theyll sell well.... its a lot of money for very little silver.

I don't listen to their music much but still think they did a great job with the coin
