Mabinogi, a game of memories of those days

Nexon

For me, the game 'Mabinogi' contains memories of my middle school days.

To express my middle school days in one word, it is 'solitude'. If I look back now, I was just really cute in my childhood, but I definitely meant it in my own way. Even though I have many good friends around me, every day I have a hard day with loneliness in my heart somewhere. I can't show my honest heart to anyone, and I close my heart firmly because no one will understand it. Should I say this is a heavy bottle? Mabinogi is what heals my feelings when I am rich in sensitivity.

It is a beautiful world. There I am a protagonist, I can be anything, and I am an adventurer free to travel the wide world. I really like the 'freedom' that Mabinogi gives me.

Mabinogi doesn't follow the formula of a typical RPG game. Usually in RPG games, when you first select a job, the path to progress is already determined. Only skills suitable for the job are used, the appropriate roles for the job are assigned, and only weapons and clothing for the job are to be worn. Mabinogi has absolutely no concept of work. Rather than choosing jobs and accepting abilities from the start, it's a way of choosing skills and creating the jobs I want.

This Is Game Thailand

If you want, you can become a swordsman, mage, or archer. You don't have to fight. You can become a chef by honing your cooking skills, or you can become a craftsman making clothes or weapons. You can be a poet who wanders the world and plays the harp, or you can do nothing and just sit by the river and fish. You can even do all of the above at the same time.

I handled the bow well, used magic as an aid, and made weapons and armor as hobbies. The character's direction differs depending on what he is intensively polishing, but there is no set. It can be anything I want. As a warrior, you don't have to wear armor. As a magician, you don't have to wear robes and robes. I just make the image I want according to my personality. I love that freedom.

Mabinogi's freedom is not limited to the character's character. First of all, the world of Mabinogi itself is eyeing a vast fantasy world, so the space in the game itself is vast. The distance between the village and the village was too far to reach on foot, so I rode a horse, and I also rode a large bird over the vast pasture.

And the worldview and storyline throughout the game is well structured, making me feel like the main character of a fantasy world. Nowadays, it was very easy to find a game that had a solid setting for the entire storyline and worldview of the game, but it was difficult to find Mabinogi's level of completion among online RPG games at the time. The in-game backgrounds and settings make me feel as if I am a free adventurer.

Mabinogi goes a step further and adds emotion to the community which builds friendship and communication between users. After lighting bonfires at night, everyone sits around sharing food, playing musical instruments and chatting all day long. Is it because of Mabinogi's unique sensibility? Or is it because of the entry barrier from paid games? Surprisingly, unlike other games, users on Mabinogi belong to a higher age group, have basic politeness, and aim for healthy communication.

More than half of my playing time is spent chatting with the people I meet there. It's fun to chat, and a culture of friendship and communication between users is well-formed. Most RPG games focus on hunting and leveling up, but Mabinogi focuses on diverse experiences, unique sensibilities, and a culture of communication and friendship. Thanks to this, not a few people came to relieve their loneliness. I do too.

Because of Mabinogi, I was able to spend warmer and happier school days. This is a game with memories that are very precious to me. If such a fantasy world really existed, it would be a very beautiful world that you would want to leave at least once.

The people I met in that virtual world, memories of that time, are still alive and breathing in my heart. It seems like I've always been a high school student, and I'm twenty-seven. At that time, did the people you met at Mabinogi hang out with? I hope everyone has a happy life.

It has been ten years since I left Mabinogi. And coincidentally, I saw the Mabinogi video trailer on the YouTube channel 'laeis azuress'. Is this a video that accurately represents my heart right now? I would like to dedicate this video to Mabinogi users who live today's reality and miss those days.
