Yes! It is like people are expected to use a dryer and own no more than two pairs of underwear.
The issue with the old houses (imo) is the small windows that keep places a bit dark. I know why it was done, but it is something that I would change if I could.
There is no choice but to work around it with interior colour choices and lighting.
Yep, this is what we were discussing at dinner.
Mirrors reflect almost 100% of the light hitting on them. Better than even white.
