Sleep

My silent visitor
Comes to take me away
To the dreamland
Where reality is in question, and
Peace flows like a river.

When my daily task is over,
Nerves frayed, and
Bones are weak;
Unannounced, you lift me up,
With an unseen hand
To an unknown land
Where my strength is restored,
For next day's duty.

I'll always be grateful to a good sleep.
