Today is the Republic Day, the most blessed and important day for the Turkish nation. On October 28th, our great leader Mustafa Kemal said. After he said, "Tomorrow we will declare the Republic.", on October 29, 1923, at a parliamentary meeting, we started to be governed by the republic system, not by the sultanate (monarchical system).
Until October 29, 1923, the system of government passed from father to son, and from now on, the republic is a system in which the people make their own elections, bring the person they want to the head of the state by voting with their free will, and when the time comes, they can take this right away from him in the next election and give it to someone else.
So the Republic is: freedom, equality, justice, unity, being one...
The most valuable work left to us by our ancestor Mustafa Kemal is the Republic of Turkey. We must take care of this work properly and raise it to the skies. We should remember this not only on such meaningful days, but at every moment. In everything we accomplish; in education, science, technology, health, cultural works, military developments, political gains.
Ataturk has a beautiful quote about this, perhaps one of the favorite quotes of many:"My humble body will one day be dust, but the Republic of Turkey will remain forever. ''
Today, which is celebrated with enthusiasm every year in our country, was even more meaningful for us in 2023. Because it was now 100 years old, a century had passed. Therefore, this year should have been more meaningful than other years. As every year, schools were decorated, flags were hung on the streets and balconies of houses, marches were organized, torches were lit, bands sang anthems in unison, some artists composed new songs, anthems and concerts were held to commemorate the 100th anniversary.

Since the district I live in is small, there were not many activities, at least not enough for me :( But still, even marching with flags and torches and marches was valuable for today.
I tried to take some photos but it was dark so I couldn't take many. 7 teachers from each school were selected for the march and I was one of them. I considered it an honor for me to do this task. The march started at 18.30 and ended with the reading of our National Anthem at the last stop and we dispersed to our homes.
Here's to many more October 29th where our Republic is celebrated even more beautifully!

bugün Türk milleti için en kutlu, en önemli gün olan Cumhuriyet bayramı. Ulu önderimiz Mustafa Kemal'in 28 Ekim'de '' Efendiler yarın Cumhuriyeti ilan edeceğiz.'' sözünden sonra 29 Ekim 1923'te meclis toplantısında bundan sonra saltanat (monarşik sistem) ile değil cumhuriyet sistemiyle yönetilmeye başlandığımız gündür.
29 Ekim 1923'e kadar babadan oğula geçen yönetim sistemi bundan sonra halkın kendi seçimleriyle yaptığı, istediği kişiye özgür iradesiyle oy kullanarak devletin başına getirdiği, yeri geldiğinde bir sonraki seçimde bu hakkı ondan alıp başkasına verebildiği bir sistemdir cumhuriyet.
Yani Cumhuriyet : özgürlüktür, eşitliktir, adalettir, birliktir , bir olmaktır...
Atamız Mustafa Kemal'in bize bıraktığı en değerli eser Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'dir. Bizler de bu esere hakkıyla sahip çıkıp, göklere yükseltmeliyiz. Yalnız bunu sadece böyle anlamlı günlerde değil, her anımızda hatırlamalıyız. Başardığımız her işte; eğitimde, bilimde, teknolojide, sağlık alanında, kültürel eserlerde, askeri gelişmelerde, siyasi kazançlarda ..
Atatürk'ün bununla ilgili güzel bir sözü var , belki de çoğu kişinin en sevdiği sözlerinden : ''Benim naçiz vücudum elbet bir gün toprak olacaktır ama Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ilelebet payidar kalacaktır.''
Her sene ülkemizde çoşkuyla kutlanan bugün , 2023 yılında daha da anlamlıydı bizler için. Çünkü artık 100 yaşındaydı, bir koca asırı devirmişti. Haliyle bu sene diğer senelerden daha anlamlı olmalıydı. Her sene olduğu gibi okullar süslendi, caddelere evlerin balkonuna bayraklar asıldı, yürüyüşler düzenlendi, meşaleler yakıldı, bandolar hep bir ağızdan marşlar söyledi, 100. yıl anısına bazı sanatçılar yeni şarkılar, marşlar besteledi , konserler yapıldı.

Benim yaşadığım ilçe küçük olduğu için çok fazla etkinlik yapılmadı en azından bana yeterli gelmedi :( Ama yine de bayraklar ve meşalelerle ve marşlar eşliğinde yürümek bile bugün için değerliydi.
Birkaç fotoğraf çekmeye çalıştım ama karanlık olduğundan çok çekemedim. Yürüyüş için her okuldan 7 öğretmen seçilmişti , ben de onlardan biriydim. Bu görevi yapmak benim için bir onur olarak baktım. 18.30 da başlayan yürüyüş en son durakta İstiklal Marşımızın okunmasıyla son buldu ve evlerimize dağıldık.
Cumhuriyetimizin daha da güzel kutlandığı nice 29 Ekimlere!

Bugün Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin 100. yılı ve gerçekten insanın içini kıpır kıpır eden bir gün. Umarım cumhuriyetimiz nice 100-1000 yılları kutlar 🇹🇷
