Last Saturday, January 14, we again camp at my friend's land full of mahogany trees. We named it ourselves Mahogany Santuary.
The place is just a few miles away from my home. This is our favorite place to gather if we don't have much time and money to spend. It is near and no cost at all. We just need to bring our camping gears, foods and drinks. And the rest is happiness.
We just need to find a perfect spot depending on how many of us will be camping. And we start to set up our hammocks.
I setted up mine and I rest to test the hammock's stability while waiting for others to set up their own.
I still remember the first time we camp here, most of us still don't have hammocks. Only Jaks have hammocks. He brought 2 for us to test it. That time we decided to buy hammocks for our own. So, when we camp again, we didn't have to bring heavy tents, just a lightweight hammocks and a rain tarp.
Some of my friends are upgrading their gears. Now, they have their own camping chair. For me, I will not buy that chair. Maybe because I don't need it. If I need to sit, I just go to my hammock or the rocks around the venue, or even on the ground. I don't have problem on sitting on anything. But still, my favorite chair is still my hammock. Hehe.
It's time to prepare the foods so that we don't have to do anything when the sun is already down.
This is a special day for most of us. We lost our virginity about fungi.
Time to appreciate the nature.
After a trip to a beautiful place, we celebrate with a feast. Even though there are not a lot of foods we have, it still feels like a feast for us.
It's night time. And it's drinking time. We gather around the table. Some are on their chair, some on grounds, me, Shaq and Dolps on our own hammocks. The site bacame like a tribe. A night full of music and laughters. Experience sharing of what and where we've been on our trip.
I have some pulutan chips on my hammock so I don't have to come down from my hammock after drinking. Haha.
After midnight, the rain visited us. So, we adjusted our set up because some of our friends still don't have their own rain tarp, so they sheltered on us who have rain tarp.
Jay placed his hammock above mine, that's why my space has been limited. But it's just alright as long as they are safe from the rain.
The rain stopped us from drinking and we decided to rest. The night is over.
The morning is up. The rain still on. Some of us still on hammocks, some are cooking, some are making music, some are packing up.
We decided to eat first before going home. And we waited the rain to stop till before noon and decided to to pack up.
There are still remaining drinks and some of us, including me, still wants to drink that up. So, we decided to go to my house and finish the gin.
And that's the end of our trip.
Thank you for reading my post.
And hope you've been entertained by my story.
