Despite living in an increasingly neoliberal state, the bicameral legislature is split between political parties by a narrow margin. So we still enjoy a lot of freedom with firearms compared to states like New Jersey or Massachusetts. I worry what will happen if things swing too far. I hold out some hope that the Supreme Court will stop being cowardly about taking on 2nd Amendment cases and all of the unconstitutional and unreasonable restrictions on firearms are abolished, so that any overly restrictive laws are made moot.
