The 303 Enfield is one if my Son's favorite rifles. They are easy to find over here, shoot well, and are ballistically like a 30-30, or 7.62 x 39.

I just like the feel of their bolt. Longer than many of the current ones, but had a good feel to it. A great short to mid-range rifle. My first rifle to take deer hunting as a youngster. I think maybe my Dad just wanted to wear me out lugging that thing around!
Always good to wear kids out, LOL! It is smooth in operation, and you always know where the bolt is in it's cycle. I have picked up several that have been abused by people with little talent for forearm modification, for free. I'm thinking of restoration but one may just be parts, they deserve better!
They are a classic firearm, and a good hunting rifle.
