Hive and Peertube, together at last!

in HiveDevs3 years ago (edited)

Forget Bitchute, Dlive and Youtube.

Peertube and Hive are together at last!

You can now earn cryptos every 3 seconds on a real P2P media platform with no KYC, no TOS and no fees.

Zero middlemen, zero possibility of censorship, zero lag and zero fees.

This month, Agorise built a monetization plugin for Peertube (over 845 instances so far) using the Hive blockchain. So, if you have a Hive (or Steem) blockchain account, your content can start earning immediately.

Why do most media platforms suck?

They don't pay you for contributing your upvotes or comments, they take fees from the content Creators, they force KYC on the Creators AND YOU if you want to withdraw your earnings, they even require your email address (or worse) just to open an account. They force you to agree to their evermore stringent Terms Of Service. They can shadow ban your content, freeze your funds (and steal them!), lock you out of your account and even ban you entirely. WTF?!

For example, Jeff Berwick at The Dollar Vigilante has been banned virtually everywhere, so he was the first to move his content to web3:

Peertube federates your livestream broadcasts, photos, audio and video recordings, artwork posts and all kinds of media through all of your subscribers and followers. Plugging in to alt protocols like Activitypub, IPFS etc and the Hive blockchain adds the income layer for all of your web3 content and more.

Now your content and "Likes" actually pay you!

If you're ready to DE-centralise and earn cryptos every 3 seconds, contact Agorise today!

Fantastic and useful product.

Just fyi, Hive-Tube v5 is out now if you're familiar with Peertube-based sites:
https://Hive-Tube.com

? mind telling me how I've helped you

You guys post and reblog a ton of helpful content that helps us build these apps and it is immensely appreciated. The Hive docs are good too, but your posts encourage comments from the Hive community as well which really helps out. Thanx again :)

Web3 is where it's at! We will probably never be able to take back control of the DNS system so using the alt protocols mentioned is smart. It's not even possible for them to censor IPFS. Alt tld's too like .onion, .eth, .crypto, .bit, etc. Don't try to fight ICANN, just render them obsolete :)

This post is misleading. No one mentioned had anything to do with this. That should be clarified.

Not personally, no. Therefore, the thank you's have been removed from the post.

Now the post makes more sense. Great project by the way.

Thanx for the compliment @guiltyparties I hope you can help us spread the word about Hive-Tube. It's definitely getting a lot more people to signup for a Hive account, use the chain, buy some $HIVE, etc. Check out the activity it has produced already on this one site alone:

https://vigilante.tv/about/instance

Version 5 of Hive-Tube came out recently and it will be announced on chain next week, but here is the 1-page explainer site for it if you're curious:

Thanx again :)

Can the Hive log in aspects be added to an existing instance of PeerTube? Drop me a line I'd like to put you in touch with the operator of https://noagendatube.com/videos/local and see if Hive can integrate with his instance.

Yes, we also wrote a crawler script that will generate hive posts for thousands of existing videos on an instance if necessary. It generates one hive post for each video every 5.2 minutes until all of the videos you have designated have a hive post (allowing people to upvote and comment on the videos via Hive).

Just have him contact us at the contact info above and take a look at dollarvigilante.tv as the example site.

This week we are upgrading the ux too, so that it is more responsive, better commenting features, etc and that stuff will be launched there next week.

Thank you! :)

Is your code open source? I'll pass this on.

If they have Peertube installed, all they need to do is install the Hive-Tube plugin from their admin console now :)

Check out https://Hive-Tube.com

From the documentation:
You can simply install the Hive-Tube plugin by logging into your Peertube instance as an administrator. Then please go to Administration -> Plugins/Themes, search for the "Hive" keyword and click "Install".

FASCINATING
