RE: Hive Keychain DHF and Transparency Update

in HiveDevslast month

I'm all for you guys making a profit. I'm also all for multi-chain integration. But a bridge is a two-way thoroughfare. While it opens Hive to the broader Web3 landscape, opening that door won't necessarily lead to more people using Hive as a platform. It could mean some Hivians abandoning ship for greener pastures, which I hope doesn't happen either. The best-case scenario is multi-chain integration leads to Keychain making a profit on its own and delivering an influx of new users to the Hive platform. Worst-case scenario: Keychain continues to not make a profit and Hive users migrate to elsewhere. Most likely scenario is somewhere in between. I hope you plan to implement some type of incentivized routing protocol that will encourage people in the broader Web3 community to actually use the tools available to them on Hive.
