Love this idea, and thanks for checking out HivePredict.
A dedicated Sports section is definitely possible, and I'm also exploring support for markets settled in HIVE plus Hive L2 tokens/reward tokens (like a “Medals” model). The initial version was going to support Hive Engine tokens, but I kept it simple for v1.
The key pieces are reliable results/oracle settlement and liquidity design, but it’s absolutely something I want to do. If you could give me a bit of a rundown of how you'd ideally like to see something like that implemented, I could possibly scope something out.
I'll tag in @blanchy who is our dev but in my mind we could add a prediction tab somewhere on the sportsblock site.
This would obviously bring them to the dedicated sports section of hivepredict but also open up the whole site to them.
Let users create prediction markets on sporting events with a small "Medal" fee to create the market which is sent to burn. Something small like ten "Medals" or such.
Results would be settled based on a reliable sports website that covers all major events automatically when the event ends.
A percentage of the market would be taken out of every prediction market with split between yourself as the platform creator and ourselfs set to burn on our behalf. Maybe 5% of the total market or such.
We have live threads for matches so it would be a good link in for people to be able to place a prediction on the site and then have the chats during the sporting event.
Just a thought anyway.
