π The Backstory: Why HivePulse?
How many Hive tabs do you have open right now? Be honest. Five? Ten? Too many to count?
We started this journey with a simple annoyance: We were reading a post on one frontend but wanted to curate it on another. That frustration birthed the Hive Frontend Switcher. It was simple, effective, and it did its job.
But as we used it, we realized something... We needed more.
We didn't just want to switch context; we wanted to monitor our account health. We didn't just want to read; we wanted to communicate. We wanted a dashboard that lived in our browser, ready at a moment's notice.
So, we went into the lab, poured some coffee, wrote some code, and evolved. The "Switcher" has undergone a complete metamorphosis.

𧬠The Metamorphosis: From Tool to Dashboard
HivePulse isn't just a utility anymore; it's the heartbeat of your Hive experience. Here is what's under the hood of version 1.2.2:
1. π The Nexus (Frontend Switcher)
This is our roots. Viewing a post on PeakD but want to drop a comment via Ecency? Reading on InLeo but want to check your wallet on Hive.blog? Managing multiple accounts and logged in via several interfaces?
- Context Aware: We detect exactly where you are (author, permlink, or feed).
- One Click: We transport you to the exact same spot on your target interface.
- Supported: PeakD, Ecency, Hive.blog, InLeo, Actifit, Waivio, Liketu, and HiveScan.
2. π The Pulse (Stats Tracker)
Stop guessing if you have enough mana to comment.
- Real-Time Vitals: Monitor your Voting Power (VP) and Resource Credits (RC) instantly.
- Visual Cues: The extension icon actually changes color and displays your current health!
- π’ Green: You are fully charged.
- π£ Purple: Monitoring Resource Credits (RC).
- π΄ Red: Battery low!
3. π¬ The Signal (Ecency Chat Integration)
As the Ecency team recently announced the launch of their new chat and @good-karma shared their API documentation, we have integrated the new chat directly into the extension.
- Stay Connected: DM your friends or chat in communities without keeping a specific tab open.
- Bells and Whistles: Add, edit, delete, react, emojis. All the cool stuff supported!
- Background Monitoring: Close the popup? No problem. HivePulse watches for messages in the background and alerts you instantly.
4. π Side Panel Mode
Pin your chat to the side of your browser while you surf the web, without the extension closing on you.
5. βοΈ The Control Room (Settings)
HivePulse is fully customizable via the settings menu.
- Auto-Redirect: Do you prefer Ecency but keep getting sent PeakD links? maybe vice versa? Enable Auto-Redirect and set your "Preferred Frontend." HivePulse will detect when you open a Hive link and automatically redirect it to your favorite interface instantly.
- Smart Monitoring: Toggle the extension badge to track either Voting Power (VP) or Resource Credits (RC) depending on your needs.
- Notification Control: Fine-tune how often the extension checks for new messages (from every 1 minute to 15 minutes) or silence them completely.
- Navigation Style: Choose whether switched links open in a New Tab or replace your Current Tab.
π οΈ The Future: Version 1.3.0 is already in the Oven!
We aren't stopping at the launch. In fact, Version 1.3.0 has already been submitted to the Chrome Web Store for review! We've learned from the first submission and hope this update clears much faster.

There is a plugin "ILovePeakd" that auto redirects every post to peakd.
That one is not available anymore, that's why I created mine:

That plugin didn't asked for DHF
This one does, in this bearish economy
...... not sure anyone will vote for DHF for redirects

@dlmmqb We are not asking for DHF to build HivePulse, it is already out. We will continue working on it even without funding. It's useful for us and hopefully Hive community as a whole.
2- Our DHF is more focused on HAF. You can read more details about it in the post links above.
3- Also, HivePulse is not just a redirect, the post above explains more details (ecency chat, monitoring and stats), or maybe try out the extension.
