I appreciate this. I have a post in my drafts file I started working on a few days ago with my current A.I opinions, so I'll mention this update there. As you said, bad actors won't use this just like they don't credit images or text they plagiarize. Honest writers should not fear transparency and giving credit, so just providing the option is good enough.
