Hive rewards payouts? No, that's not possible.

The hive rewards is what holds back being able to get any serious people to utilize those platforms that don't pay per play regardless of window

Personally, I hate pay per play. Pay-walls, PPV, whatever it's called are just dinosaur methodologies imo. Producing and earning is the best way to get the recognition deserved.

Yes but if it's inside a set window that means the value of your work is far less than you give itself. If next month all your work triples in plays, you get nothing. It's a worth of your work. If you feel like to all your work can be valued and trashed after 7 days that's cool. It really doesn't transfer over into actualities though. Once that can be bridged I'm sure millions of users will pour into a hive backed platform.

Actualities are exactly what I was talking about.
If what you produce has value to someone, then it has a value > 0 which can lead to value for others as well. Organic growth :)

But when there is a time constraint on your value after 7 days your value = 0. It no longer has value. What you view as your value doesn't translate into its actual value. I'm not trying to sound condescending. It's just the limit on Hive. Its constrained by that boundary. Im sure someone will be able to figure out a way for it to maintain its value and not lose it after the first 7. If it did equal value there would be way more individuals flocking to the platform. Thats not the case. I adore the community, and value the work. The time constraint isn't as a large of a deal on the written word because you can gain growth that way and it's a lot less work than video recording, mastering, and editing. Those things are costly over time and just to get one week of pay out of your hard work is insulting. The amount of effort will never equal the amount of pay in that regards if videos are put to the same scrutiny as the written word.

That limit on Hive is also a limit in nature.

If I make a chair, that chair will have value for a specific time limit. If I grow a daisy, that daisy will have a lifespan as well. Everything has an expiration so trying to peg a fixed value to anything organic (like Hive) is impossible.

If I do a podcast and post that livestream mp3 to cast.garden for example, it will have immediate value for about a week, that's correct. However, if I reply to user comments on my podcast and maintain social contact with my followers, I can attain some monetary compensation on that single podcast virtually forever.

The chair I built needs some maintenance once in awhile as well 😊

Odyssey does a great job of this.

No, imo Odysee had to start putting up ads and such because they're not running a profitable blockchain like Hive.

Hive is only profitable for 7 days on the original works.
