RE: This Is Probably the Time to Experiment

I think the idea is valid, something needs to be tried to get rid of the DHF for good in my opinion. In addition to the premium subscription, why not perhaps offer something like a "battle pass" that we have in games? You can implement it by having free and premium tiers, which in this case would be purchased, to gain XP you would do missions like, daily check-in, votes, comments, post on snaps, reblogs, that kind of thing, as you level up, you earn something, free tier provides fewer rewards while premium you always earn something at each level or every 2 levels, something like that.

These prizes can be different things: L2 tokens, HP Delegation for NFTs, like, a lot of things can be put up as prizes.

Anyway, I think that a "battle pass" where you have a discrepancy between free and paid tiers, could be a good thing, I know I didn't exactly talk about the peakd premium but I think this idea can help you too, along with a peakd premium that can have N more functions too.

Do you think people will pay for a battle pass (like a season pass) if there are no money in the reward pool? Just gamification rewards?

I believe this will depend a lot on the situation; it will never be possible to please everyone—that’s the fundamental point of any idea. I think so—Peakd’s loyal user base will love having these rewards, and it doesn’t even have to be focused solely on getting big upvotes or earning more Hive. I’d be extremely happy to pay for a pass that, say, gave me a good amount of HP so I could curation, or that gave me a free “post promotion” for my Hive Grove posts, for example.

And another thing—I just had a few more ideas. Why not skins for Peakd? If you create a Matrix-style skin with a black screen and green text, I’d be the first to buy the pass. Maybe some exclusive achievements for those who reach the final level of the pass?

Wow, this all sounds amazing! It probably won’t appeal to those who only think about money, but for those who look beyond that and seek interaction, friendships, and crazy things to do, it’ll be a real treat, haha

Thanks. I'll think about some of those ideas 👍

The "skin" was a thing I thought about a while back but it was a bit difficult from the implementation point of view 😅

Haha, I can imagine how hard it must be—there’s just so much to change—but it’s a start: talk it over and see what can be done to help, in a way that benefits everyone in some way.
