Your words stuck with me in the comments of my last hive-nectar post, and I decided to see how hard it would be to start from scratch and nectar-lite was born.
I love that we have different ideas and goals, and I'm using it mainly as a learning experience because beem was/is bloated and I took it on as a matter of necessity as we have a LOT of things that was using it.
My goal (which I've already started) is a golang and rust port that follows similar style guide, sort of a unified api, you know one, you kinda know the others, which I have working in a very rudimentary sense.
I will say, please feel free to steal liberally from the crypto section of it, as I quickly learned that the signature process is a bitch and there is some nuance like having to pass HIVE/HBD as STEEM/SBD in the wire for the signature.
RE: Blurt, I feel the same, that spam really made me lose a lot of respect, like A LOT.
RE: Price feed, I'd use coingecko as coinmarketcap wants a LOT of money for api access and gecko lets you make several thousand calls a day for free.
