Hello Hive friends, on the first of this month, the community held a great power-up. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I couldn't participate, but I've been wanting to make up for it, and I want to do so today.
One of my first goals on this blockchain was to reach 5000 HP, and I came very close to achieving it. However, due to "problems" that arose in my life and my family's, I had to sacrifice that goal to pursue others. Nevertheless, I've never given up on that goal, far from it; I've simply had to postpone it. But as I mentioned above, I want to make up for missing the 1-11 power-up, so today I'll be staking 1150 HIVE, which will be the first step towards reaching that goal and setting a new, more ambitious one.
For now, I'll most likely delegate those HP resources, since I've started a new job that's very physically demanding and takes up a lot of my time, so I have little time to be as active as I'd like. Those resources will be better off in the hands of projects that can make better use of them. I'm thinking about @threespeak, and you'll soon understand why.
As I mentioned, I'm not as active as I'd like, but I am supporting Hive from behind the scenes, more specifically 3Speak. For several days now, I've had two encoder nodes that handle encoding the videos uploaded to 3Speak. I made a post a few days ago about the process of setting them up and getting them working, although that credit belongs to the team behind the project who supported me every step of the way.
Today I want to share some statistics thanks to the Gateway Monitor created by @men0. It clearly reflects the work done in recent days, although I must say that the node names haven't been updated yet, but that will surely be resolved soon, hahaha.
These numbers are from the last 7 days. The highlighted node is one of mine, which has processed 107 out of 484 videos, approximately 22%. This is a good performance, and I'm proud of it.
I hope they maintain this performance and continue to improve, so they can keep contributing to this ecosystem. I know the team behind it is constantly working on improvements, and it shows. I remember when I set up the first node; there were constant interruptions, tasks failed while encoding, upload and download times were endless, processing times were absurdly slow, jobs were duplicated, and there were countless other problems. All of that has been resolved. The 99.8% effectiveness you see there demonstrates this, as does the average 7-minute job processing time. Reading this, it might seem like a long time ago, but it hasn't even been a month. This shows the fantastic work they are doing to improve everything.
I don't want to go on any longer than necessary; I think the most important thing has been said. I'll leave you the link to @meno's GitHub repository so you can take a look at the work he's doing with nodes and maybe get inspired to set one up.

Uno de mis primeros objetivos en esta blockchain fué el de llegar a los 5000 HP y estuve muy cerca de lograrlo, pero por "problemas" que surgieron en mi vida y la de mi familia tuve que sacrificar esa meta en post de cumplir otras. No obstante, esa meta nunca la he dado por vencida ni mucho menos, solamente la he tenido que posponer. Pero como dije más arriba me quiero sacar esa espinita de no participar en el powerup del 1-11, así que hoy estaré haciendo staking de 1150 HIVE, lo cuál será el primer paso para alcanzar esa meta y trazarme una nueva y más ambiciosa.
De momento esos HP es muy probable que los delegue, ya que comencé un nuevo trabajo el cual es muy exigente físicamente y roba mucho de mi tiempo, por lo que tengo poco para estar activo como me gustaría, y esos recursos van a estar mejor en manos de proyectos que puedan hacer mejor uso de él. Estoy pensando en @threespeak y a continuación van a entender en gran medida por qué.
Como mencioné no estoy tan activo como quisiera, pero si estoy apoyando a Hive desde las sombras, más concretamente a 3Speak, desde hace días tengo 2 nodos encoders que se encargan de codificar los videos que se suben a 3Speak, hice un post hace unos días acerca de cómo fue el proceso de montarlos y hacerlos funcionar, aunque ese mérito es del equipo detrás del proyecto que me apoyaron en todo momento.
Hoy quiero traerles algunas estadísticas gracias al Gateway Monitor creado por @men0, en él se reflejan los trabajos de los últimos días de una forma bastante clara, aunque debo decir que aún no me actualizan el nombre de los nodos, pero eso seguro que se resuelve pronto jajajaja.
Estos números son de los últimos 7 días, el nodo resaltado es uno de los míos, el cuál ha procesado 107 videos de 484, lo que vendría siendo un 22% aproximadamente, lo cual es un buen rendimiento y del cual me siento orgulloso.
Espero que mantengan el rendimiento y vayan a más, para seguir aportando a este ecosistema. Se que el equipo detrás está trabajando constantemente en hacer mejoras y se notan. Recuerdo cuando monté el primer nodo, había interrupciones constantemente, fallaban las tareas al codificar, los tiempos de carga y descarga eran interminables y los tiempos de procesamiento absurdamente lento, los trabajos duplicados y un sin fin más de problemas, todo eso se ha resuelto, ese 99.8% de efectividad que ven ahí lo demuestra al igual que esos 7 minutos como promedio por trabajos. Leyendo esto te parecerá que de esto hace mucho tiempo, pero no llega a un mes, ahí vez el fantástico trabajo que están haciendo para mejorar todo.
Ya no quiero seguir extendiéndome más de lo necesario, creo que lo más importante esta dicho, voy a dejarles el enlace al repositorio en GitHub de @meno para que puedan echar un vistazo al trabajo que está haciendo con los nodos y quizás se embullan y se montan uno.
