RE: Hive dying and soon stalling?

in HiveDevs2 months ago (edited)

So Hive is not dying but it is dying because no profitability, which you need to have node run economically?

For people coming here thinking they can make a living just doing social media posts, Hive is worse than ever.

I agree. But the point is about the witness nodes.

Maybe the people running nodes now will do it altruistically, maybe not.

So you see the real problem. But just prefer putting up a strawman?

I see $.30 worth of rewards on this post already, and if we're being honest, this is a post that has no value at all. You're simply adding your opinion to an already very large pile of similar opinions. What objective value does that have?

Luckily you don't decide what is valuable and what not. Also you are still stuck in the "objective" value fallacy of keynianism. Value is subjective. It always have been. Read some into austrian economics. Mises, Hayek,.. many more.
So you also don't like your own comment earning nearly also the of you addressed 0,3$ and should have declined payout. Or why are you adding your opinion on a social media network, which is just the same as many other's similar opinions?

I've seen a LOT of people on Hive claiming that Hive is dying, not because it's actually dying, but because they think they aren't getting rewarded enough.

And so you are now projecting this onto me?

You know since how long I am here. You also know about my POV on these topics and people whining about being 'censored' and not earning enough.

This is not the point of this post.

It is about economics.

Please reply to the post about if Hive running uneconomic nodes will survive the next economic crash, let alone civilizational crash (where we are heading) let alone to the next bullrun with uneconomic nodes run altruistically by the people who greedily destroyed the incentives in the first place and not to your projections on me.
If you can't do that, please don't reply at all.

Especially now in times, where not only GPU, RAM, SSD, but now also HDD prices are rising like crazy due to AI.

You can wish for altruistic uneconomic nodes, but I would not understand why. Nodes also don't provide value in your view? Shouldn't they earn and be rewarded? Shouldn't the incentives just work? Do you want socialism on Hive?

Please think about the topic of the post and don't project, otherwise you won't get an answer on your next aggressive comment.
I am also downvoting your comment because of that. And have reasoned why enough in this text here.

And against people like mentioned here, you are hating:
https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@deeanndmathews/re-woelfchen-2026216t135424430z
Because they feed their families with the help of Hive.
Maybe read it and the arguments in it at think about it.
Luckily she was more stake than you and you don't decide what has value and what not, but I already explained that and your fallacy.

Sort:

I'm not sure if you deliberately missed my point, or if it just went over your head, but this reply really reinforced the point I was trying to make.

No, you obviously completely missed the point of the entire post.
And then also the extra comment, as it appears.

So not really worth it to put in even more effort and try making you understand any more.

I understand your point, I just don't agree with it.

Then why are you not powering up.

I am still powering up, but can be critical at the same time.

I observe, don't ignore.

I DO power up, and I'm not saying you can't be critical, I just wish your criticism was more honest.
