Wie fängt man einen Bienenschwarm?
In diesem Video zeige ich wie man einen Bienenschwarm mit einem großen Eimer und eine Bienenbeute einfängt.
Ein Bienenschwarm besteht aus einer Bienenkönigin und einem Teil ihres alten Bienenvolkes. Sie verlässt die alte Behausung, da dort in Kürze eine neue Königin die Regentschaft übernimmt. Der Schwarm versucht eine neue Behausung (meist Höhlungen n Bäumen) zu finden, um dort wieder mit dem Aufbau eines neuen Bienenstaates zu beginnen. Genau an dieser Stelle greifen wir ein und fangen den Schwarm ab, bevor dieser eine neue Behausung findet. Die gefangenen Bienen geben wir in eine vorbreitete Bienenbeute mit ausreichend Wabenmaterial und auch ein bisschen Futter. Die Hoffnung ist, dass der Schwarm die Beute akzeptiert und diese als neue Bleibe benutzt.

How to catch a swarm of bees!
In this video I show how to catch a swarm of bees with a big bucket and a hive.
A bee swarm consists of a queen bee and part of her old colony. It leaves the old hive because a new queen will soon take over the reigns. The swarm tries to find a new hive (usually cavities in trees) to start building a new colony. This is where we intervene and intercept the swarm before it finds a new home. We put the captured bees into a prepared hive with enough comb material and also some food. The hope is that the swarm will accept the hive and use it as a new home.
