Losing by passivity

It's a beautiful Wednesday morning. I had to take a power walk and I'm getting dirt in my favorite sneaker. I was looking going through a few posts on X when I saw a quote about fighting for what you want. If you didn't put in any effort into keeping something, you shouldn't cry over it when you lose it. To me, that's going to feel really harsh if you're not in a good place at the moment and you've already lost something you could have kept if you had put in the effort.

I usually try not to speak up for myself because I'm tired or just want peace and quiet one evening. You don't know how badly you want something until you realize it is now gone forever. It is now over and I'm standing here empty handed. It can be devastating to find out that by not saying anything, you are the reason you missed out. So that saying about staying silent to avoid falling into a rage bait trap is not always true.

I also am scared that if I try too hard at something I may still fail, so I just give up on things.

I was walking past the market and saw a goat with a funny weird look on its face staring at me, it made me even think it was judging me because I wasn't working toward my big goals. It had a funny looking bent ear too. If you want something, you must take it by the throat and control it. You have no chance of getting it back if you don't speak and let go of it, all you'll have is regret.

That feeling you're getting now is from being your own biggest hold up.
