UNTIL THE FATHER IS GLORIFIED: PROOF OF SHINING
TEXT:
Matt.5:14-16, Eph.2:10
INTRODUCTION
Nothing brings joy to the heart of the Father like seeing His children manifesting His glory and bringing honour to His name.
Every believer in Christ Jesus is ordained to shine and to be super-productive irrespective of their geographical location or discipline.
I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: (John 15:16).
Here, Jesus is talking about *Works that last.
*Making lasting impact! *Making a difference, and it's all to His glory.
In Matthew 5:16, Jesus said >Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven.
This implies that YOUR SHINING BRINGS GLORY TO YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER. Every believer desires to bring glory to the Father but the Word reveals that it is through our shining,our positive impact and good works that this is made possible.

CREATED FOR GOD'S GLORY:
Even everyone that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. (Isaiah 43:7).
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
You can clearly see that you are crafted and designed for good works. You are created for impact. You are created to make a difference. You are created for God's glory. You don't belong in the general class, your place is at the top. You are like a city set on a hill which can never be hidden.
Just as light is designed to shine everywhere irrespective of the location, so are believers expected to shine for the LORD wherever they find themselves:
If you are a student, you are to shine in your school. If you are in the banking sector, God expects you to shine there: It makes no difference what your area of discipline is, be it the legal profession, medicine, the information and communication technology (ICT), or even in the ministry, you are ordained by God to shine there. Therefore refuse to accept mediocrity or just being average. Go for excellence and distinction. Let your good and outstanding works speak for you, and bring glory and honour to your heavenly father. Amen.

WHY YOU MUST SHINE
That the Father may be glorified: God is glorified when His children represent Him well and are living the good life which He preordained for them in Christ Jesus (Matt.5:16, Eph.2:10,1Pet.2:9 AMPC).
That the world may believe: Until and unless believers start manifesting God's glory, power and wisdom as prescribed in the Word, the world will not believe our message and we will not be able to make the needed impact for the kingdom in this world (Genesis 41:33, 38-40; John 6:2; Acts 8:6).
Then said Jesus unto him, >Except ye see signs and wonders, ye wil not believe (John 4:48).
- It is your calling in Christ: Every believer is called to show forth kingdom virtues and display the perfections of the Father (1 Peter 2:9, 2 Corinthians 2:14).
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).
But thanks be to God who always puts us on display in Christ and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14 HCSB).
Did you see that? God wants to display with your life. He actually desires to show off with your life! He wants the world to look at you and acknowledge Him as a good, loving and faithful father.

GIVE HIM NO REST UNTIL HE IS GLORIFIED
Refuse to be complacent!
There are those who don't really care whether or not their lives are bringing glory to the Father. For them, anything goes, anything is acceptable.
Whether or not people are getting saved in their church services is not a concern to them. Seeing little or no manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the power of God in our churches, camp meetings, etc doesn't move them in any way. They are less concerned about the end time revival which is much talked about and the move of the Holy Spirit in these last days.
Sadly, some of them even claim to be ministers of the Gospel and yet you cannot see any passion or hunger for the presence and the power of God in their lives.
Refuse to be that kind of Christian!
The Bible says, “Woe to them that are at ease in Zion…” (Amos 6:1).
Don't be at ease in Zion! Refuse to be nonchalant when it comes to the things of the kingdom.
"And give him no rest, till he establishes, and till he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth" (Isaiah 62:7).
I say to you today: Give the LORD no rest until He is glorified in your life!
Give Him no rest until He is glorified in your career.
Give Him no rest until He is glorifed in that organisation where you work.
Give Him no rest until He is glorified in your family.
Give Him no rest until He is glorified in your business.
Give Him no rest until He is glorified in your health.
Give Him no rest until He is glorified in your marriage.
Give Him no rest until He is glorified in your church.
Give Him no rest until He is glorified in your ministry.
Give your father no rest until He is glorified in your nation. Praise God!

DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR FAITH
And ye shall seek me and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13).
Satan's strategy is for you to give up on your faith.
You can shine! You can make a difference in your world. Your life can be a testimony of God's faithfulness!
Therefore, don't quit!
Keep asking, and it will be given to you.
Keep searching, and you will find.
Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you (Matt.7:7 (HCSB).

Don't stop seeking until the Father is glorified. Don't stop knocking. Don't stop digging into the Word. Don't stop consulting with the right people and asking the right questions. Don't stop studying. Don't stop researching. Don't stop making the necessary investments and sacrifice that will enable you shine forth and make a difference in your generation to the glory of God.
Don't stop!!!
Your righteousness will shine forth as the day's brightness and your salvation as a lamp that burns and kings will come to the brightness of your rising,in the precious name of Jesus Christ.

PRACTICAL STEPS TO SHINING AND BRINGING GLORY TO THE FATHER!
- You must be born again: to receive power to become a child of God, and to shine!(John 1:12).
- Change your way of thinking (Romans 12:2).
- Change your way of doing things (Eccl.10:10).
- Change your association (Proverbs 13:20).
- Embrace the life of righteousness (Proverbs 14:34).
- Keep believing and acting on God's Word: Don't give up! (Luke 18:1).
- Engage the help of the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).
- Contend with and pull down gates of limitation and powers
opposing your shining (Ephesians 6:12). - Be humble (James 4:6).
- Be diligent (Proverbs .22 : 29).
- Go for knowledge (Hosea 4:6)
- Learn to honour and celebrate grace: You attract what you respect (1 Samuel 2:30).
- Keep your motives pure (Colossians 3:17).

Concerning John the Baptist, Jesus said: "He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light" (John 5:35).
May you be numbered among God's end time army who will arise and burn for Him, shining everywhere and bringing glory to His name by the power of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
