For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another (1 John 3:11).
COMMENTARY
The first message was to love each other. The message that will last is to love each other. The most powerful message is to love each other.
The hardest message is to love each other. I think of the short verse, "To live in heaven with the saints we love, that will be glory." But to live down here with saints we know is a different story. But that's the story our lives are meant to tell. This is the message that God wants his children to always remember. Let's get out there and do it!
To love each other is not an easy task, but it is the most important one. It requires patience, forgiveness, and selflessness. We must learn to put others first and to see beyond our differences. Loving each other means accepting our flaws and celebrating our strengths. It means being there for each other in good times and bad.
This message is timeless and universal, transcending race, religion, and culture. Let us strive to live by this message every day, spreading love wherever we go. In a world that often seems dark and divided, let us be the light that shines brightly through our actions of love towards one another.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I promise to intentionally demonstrate my love for your children in all that I say and do. I do this in the belief that your grace will enable me to accomplish more than I could on my own. In Jesus's precious name I pray. Amen.
