This week, two moments in Splinterlands caught my interest. The first is the new season experience I had at Glint Store. The second is the atmosphere surrounding the Bitcoin halving, which will take place tomorrow.
I'll talk about these two moments in the Splinterlands social media challenge post.
It isn't like the end of the Splinterlands season when opening prize chests added to the excitement. As a result, this new system introduces Glint as a gift redeemable at the Glint store.
But, before I go into detail about my experience at the Glint Store, I'd like to go over the card that commemorates the Bitcoin halving.
Splinterland released two promotional cards to commemorate the BTC halving event. So this card has a halving skill that reduces the enemy's attack power.
The card is Baron Fyatt and Henchling Enforcer. There will be one Legendary (Baron Fyatt) and one Rare (Henchling Enforcer) promotional card available for purchase, both of which are dual-element units with the Halving ability.
This promo card is limited and only available during the halving event; once the halving event ends, the peer-to-peer market is where you can get it.

When you purchase this card, you will also receive additional prizes. Because there will be the opportunity to draw a large number of prizes. and that is obtained by spending multiples of 10,000 DEC. The more you participate, the better the chances of winning a prize. Of course, this presents a significant opportunity for whales in the cryptocurrency world.
The second experience was shopping for cards at a Glint store. I had the opportunity to compare the results of the cards that I received.

I haven't tried the Elite Draw or Master Draw yet because I don't have enough glints to complete this season.
The advantage of this new glint system is that we no longer find potion prizes, as we did with the previous method. And immediately focus on obtaining the card.
