Greetings, Splinterlands warriors! How’s it going? Another Brawl cycle has officially come to an end—and as always, this moment carries a mix of emotions: exhaustion, suspense, and a whole lot of hope. After spending several days fighting side-by-side with my guild, it’s finally time to tally up the rewards. Aside from the SPS, the thing I look forward to the most is definitely the Merits. And this time, my total Merits finally hit 10,000—enough to open 5 Gladius cases.

Half optimistic, half resigned, I began opening them by flipping all.
I started with the first and second cases, opening them back-to-back. In the first case, I pulled 2 Rare cards, and making my smile widen just a bit, ISGALD VORST appeared. I’ve been eyeing this card for an upgrade for a while now, and with today’s haul, I’m literally one step away from the next level.

Moving on to the second case, the results were 1 Rare and 1 Epic. The Epic was EDITH EMBERSTAR, who I had actually leveled up not too long ago. So getting extra BCX for her feels like being handed extra “fuel” to dominate even harder in future Gladiator battles.
Next were the third and fourth cases, and the suspense only grew stronger. In the third case, I was greeted by 2 Epic cards right away:
- TRAPP FALLOWAY
- GORTH
These two are serious power boosts for the Death and Fire elements. Honestly, I immediately started imagining crazy formations for the next Brawl if I can push both cards to higher levels soon.

In the fourth case, I got 2 Rares and 1 Epic. The Epic was MARISOL CONTUMA, who still needs a few more BCX to level up. But hey—it’s still solid progress, far from a zero-result pull.
And then finally… the fifth case—the decider. The results: 1 Rare and 1 Epic. What made it even sweeter was seeing ISGALD VORST appear again, and this time, the BCX was just enough for her to finally reach level 6. As a bonus, I also pulled extra BCX for QUORA TOWERSHEAD—the brutal queen who’s still one of my core picks in many formations.

Honestly, even though there were no Legendary cards, I still feel satisfied. Pulling multiple Epics across the cases is more than enough to make me grin at my screen.
If you want to watch all the cards being flipped, here’s the link:
What made me happiest, though, was the impact of ISGALD VORST hitting level 6, because she now gains the Piercing ability. This means her Opportunity attacks are no longer stopped by Shield—seriously boosting her finishing power on the battlefield. It feels like getting a new silent-but-deadly weapon.

This experience reminded me once again that in Splinterlands, progress often comes slowly. Not always through Legendary cards, but through stacks of small BCX gains that eventually turn into major strength. For newer players, completing your Gladiator collection is a huge helping hand to grow faster in Brawl mode.
The main lesson I picked up this time is simple: consistency really pays off. Show up for every Brawl, contribute even small wins, collect Merits bit by bit—and one day the results truly hit.
As a closing note, here’s my little advice for fellow warriors:
don’t underestimate Merits, don’t skip Brawls, and enjoy every single upgrade—because that’s where Splinterlands becomes truly fun.
See you on the next battlefield! ⚔️🔥
