One day, there was peace all around
no noise, no anxiety
As if creation had fallen asleep,
with its weary arms on the earth
I listened to myself
there were no answers outside,
no questions within
There was only silence which contained
all the pain and compassion of life
I saw a leaf fell, the earth held it
This is love nameless, wordless
A lamp was burning,
giving light without asking,
inside and outside
This is consciousness which even in darkness creates a path with its flame
A path within deep as a forest,
but my steps started walking on it on their own
As if that path was made for humans only
There was no God there,
no idol, no name only a feeling
that said “Man, you are my best creation.”
Believer! Sit in silence, listen to the beat of your heart
Hold the hand of a helpless person,
wipe the tears of an orphan
In both places, God is in the dignity of man
