This is not just normal breathing, but an intentional, more powerful and effective breathing exercise. Additionally, it's not only about breathing, but there is more, a disconnection to feel whole again. Well, I would like to call it mindfulness.
When last did you intentionally pause to breathe?

Breathing
A lot goes on in our minds even before it becomes a reality. The ideas, the strategies, the planning, the good memories, the bad memories, negative thoughts from those around us (it could be those we work with, those who have no connection with us, friends and family or even our own thoughts), and the positive thoughts, all play in our minds.
At some point, these thoughts collide like we're in a battlefield and about to experience an explosion.
Taking time to breathe detoxifies the mind of the unwanted thoughts and events that play in there. It's like inhaling the positive thoughts and good things of life, and exhaling the negative ones and the worries of the mind.
It's a healing exercise that also reduces tension, heals mental and emotional stress, and the result is noticed physically in our work and actions.
Deep and slow breathing calms the nerves, relaxes the mind and body, and slowly brings us to the awareness of the present moment, disconnecting us from the many thoughts of the mind.

Now, as you read this, you can pause and practise for a minute or two.
Intentional Breathing Exercise for an Effective Result: Relax, get into a comfortable position, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in and count slowly, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, then breathe out. You can repeat it. Tell me how you feel in the comment section, but don't forget to finish reading this post.
Disconnecting
We could be carried away with work because we need to achieve a lot and meet deadlines.
Now, I understand that we all try to put in so much time into our work to be more productive and achieve our set goals, and that's totally fine, but do you realise that your body needs rest? Yes, it really does, and in fact, I will add that getting enough sleep improves productivity, and I will tell you how, just keep reading.
Overworking yourself can be draining; you could break down, which will lead you to take some time out of work to regain your health and be in good shape to kick off again with work.
Rest by doing something that isn't calculative, that doesn't involve thinking, just a relaxation session to rest your mind, your head and body for 30 minutes to an hour during the day. You can decide to sleep for 45 minutes or an hour and get back renewed and refreshed.

Just give yourself some space and time to breathe. Step out to admire nature, it is even more healing than you may think. Looking into the sky, watching the birds, and observing how well the plants around your environment are growing gives some peace of mind.
When you can during weekends, if you can't during the weekdays, a time at the beach is highly refreshing. Watch the waves, the ripples and listen to the sounds; it calms the mind.
This has helped me, and I hope it helps and heals you, too. Rest is productive. Know when to take your breaks to breathe, disconnect, and be whole again.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog. I would love to hear from you in the comments.

Conscious breathing is so important for fostering the necessary automaticity... I repeat this to my athletes constantly.
Thank you for showing us the benefits of something so crucial!
