Merry Christmas! Now that the year is almost over, I would like to write about what I would like to do next year. Oh, and just to be clear, these are not "goals for next year. I don't set any goals for next year. It is the worst to set a quota. Because you will have forgotten about next year's goals within three months. So I just write down what I want to do. If I can't do it, that's okay, because I will forget it in a few months anyway.
As for next year, well, I would like to start in earnest after the move is over, but first I would like to create small mixed media works. I found a postcard-sized panel the other day, and now I found a 12 cm square tray-like object on which I would like to paint. I hope to submit it to the Design Festa next May.
I would also like to make drawings on paper with watercolor, pen, crayon, etc., like the one in the photo. Once upon a time, for my solo exhibition in 2015, I used to draw every day and put them in a file to sell. At that time, I prepared about 200 sheets, but this time I will not decide how many sheets I will make because I will be doing other things.
And I would like to make one-of-a-kind goods for Design Festa as well. If we make mass-produced goods by printing, the inventory will increase, so we will draw one design on one piece of merchandise and sell it. The price will be higher, but please understand that it will be one-of-a-kind. At the moment, we are thinking of painting on uchiwa fans and tenugui (hand towels).
I would like to paint more pictures next year.

メリークリスマス! そろそろ今年も残り少なくなってきましたので、来年やりたいことをつらつらと書いてみたいと思います。あ、念のため申し上げておきますが「来年の目標」ではありません。来年の目標なんか決めません。ノルマをつけるなんて最悪です。なぜなら来年の目標なんて3か月もすれば忘れているからです。ですから、やりたいことを書くだけです。できなかったらそれでもいい、どうせ数か月で忘れていますから。
来年は、まあ引っ越しが終わってから本格的にやりたいと思いますが、まずは小さなミクストメディア作品を創りたいと思います。先日ハガキ大のパネルを見つけたのに続いて、今度は12cm角のトレイのようなものを見つけたのでそれにも描きたいと思います。これは来年5月のデザインフェスタに出せればいいなあと思います。
それから写真のような、紙に水彩やペン、クレヨンなどで描くドローイング作品も作りたいと思います。むかし、2015年だったかの個展に向けても毎日のように描いて、ファイルに入れて売っていました。その時は200枚くらい用意しましたが、今回は他のこともやるので何枚作るかは決めません。
そしてこれもデザインフェスタ向けに、１点物のグッズを作りたいです。印刷により大量生産のグッズをつくると在庫が増えるので、1つのグッズに1つの絵柄を描いて販売しようと思います。その分お値段も高くなりますがそこは世界に1点ということでご了承ください。今のところうちわと手ぬぐいに絵を描くことを考えております。
来年もたくさん絵を描きたいです。
