A Saxophone’s Serenade: Reliving Sade’s Smooth Operator (vibes review)

in Vibes6 days ago

As we await the potential to be winners, I decided to share a short review of an entry I really appreciated this week—one that threw light on a timeless classic by Sade, whom we all know, I guess. It's none other than Smooth Operator, but this time around, the artist exploring the cover doesn't sing; rather, he replicates this piece using a saxophone, which amplified the classic song.

Here's a video of the entry;

I was instantly drawn from the very first note my ears caught glimpse of. I slowly danced, bopping and swaying my head to the nostalgia the melody created. It reminds me of the good old days as a child. Moments on the beach with my parents and even some classic Mexican-rooted movies. Well, that's by the way.

Elevating an original song as this using a musical instrument while setting the atmospheric ambience to higher form of emotional connection between the artist and audience is real talent. If you haven't watched the video above, I think you should hit the play button and experience what I feel.

I do feel he should be given a spot in the top 10. The cover resonated with me, and I'm pretty sure it did with most of the audience. It's a beautiful day, and what better day is there to listen to a good nostalgic classic than today? Don't sleep on the bicycle!!

Have a lovely week ahead 🌹
