G sharp minor, being the minor-key sibling of bright, beloved A flat major, is not often used and I have often wondered why -- outside, of course, of why neither it nor its relative major, B, is often used: hard to score for orchestra because of difficulty in some instruments with the key.
G sharp minor, though, is very dark and cold ... like Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata in C sharp minor with no moon, and no warmth like its dominant D sharp minor (or E flat minor, depending on how you want to score that).
That, to me, is what makes it PERFECT, for of all minor to major transitions, no two keys epitomize midnight to a warm spring or summer morning than G sharp minor to A flat major ... enjoy the journey with me!

Beautiful playing just like last week. It is actually still Week 9, if you check your own entries, you will see that you entered Week 8 and titled your entry accordingly but then you accidentally titled your week 9 entry as week 10, skipping 9. And week 9 is being stretched until May 1st, so we aren't accepting entries until after the winners have been announced that evening. So it would seem you are two weeks ahead of us :)
