Hi everyone, my name is Lorah and this is my entry for The Vibes Web3 Music Competition, Week 41. First off, I want to say a big congratulations to all the winners from Week 40 you guys did amazing.
For this week I’ll be singing “Rewrite The Stars”. Interestingly, this song has been with me for a while now. Back in the week when we had to pick songs from movies, I actually shortlisted three different options and “Rewrite The Stars” was one of them. In the end, I went with “hopelessly devoted to you,” but I always kept this song in the back of my mind. That’s why choosing my song for this week wasn’t too difficult.
Recording this week, came with its own little challenges. I’m currently back home, and unlike when I’m at school where I stay alone and have the freedom to record anytime, things are a lot busier here. My sisters are around and honestly, finding a quiet moment has been tough. That’s one of the reasons why my video is coming a bit late. Between background noise and interruptions, it felt like I was battling for some breathing space just to get this done. But at the same time, that’s part of the fun of creating it pushes me to adapt and keep going no matter the environment.
So with all that said, I’m really excited to finally share this performance with you. Its such a beautiful song and i hope that connection shines through in my performance and that you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed singing it.
