I’m glad to be back for Week 41 of the Vibes Web3 Music Competition and this time, I performed one of the most timeless piece “At Last by Etta James”!
This song is soooo dear to me. The very first time I heard it was through Beyoncé’s stunning cover, and being my favorite vocalist, she completely drew me into the emotional depth and elegance of the song. From that day, I fell in love and knew I had to perform it someday — and, thanks to Vibes, that someday is finally here💃🏻
“At Last” isn’t just any song, it’s a vocalist’s dream🥹 i meeean. From control to texture, to soul and emotion it demands real musical knowledge to execute properly. If you’re not careful, and you’re not a music person, you could easily drift off key😂 or miss the emotion. It’s delicate, rich, and soulful, and that’s why I absolutely love it.
I gave this performance what i could, and I hope you like it just as i do.😊
