Diablo 4 - Druid - Hardcore attempt #2

in Hive Gaming3 months ago

Alright, this is my second attempt at a hardcore character, this time we going for the druid class. I haven't really done any research on what the trend is when leveling hardcore characters, kinda just going with what I know from when the game was launched and hoping it still works somewhat.

In this video I'm leveling from 1 to 25, at some point I change difficulty as I'm feeling quite comfortable and would love the xp increase at the risk of getting rekt at some point.

Still no commentary for now, need to go out and buy a different brand headset as this one suddenly stopped working and nothing I've tried has resulted in a different outcome. Bad Razer, bad!

Anyway, I played this druid on a few different occasions with some breaks in between. I'd love to go through them at some point and create some kind of a montage/highlight reel of close encounters where I was about to die or cool legendary drops that resulted in upgrades.

The whole legendary system is a bit confusing I have to admit, at one point you're able to start tempering with weapons which gets them extra stats you can roll your way to. I remember from D3 that you should also be able to pick powers from different legendaries and apply them to the weapon you want to use instead but maybe that's just something I haven't gotten to yet in this game and awaits me at higher levels, not sure.

Level 25-30

I'm trying to level up a bit diversed, some times doing dungeons some times doing these headcaller things that are seasonal as far as I understand. They do seem a bit harder however, with the last boss having a ton of HP that takes a good 5 minute at times to bring down.

I also got lucky with another player somehow entering my layer in the next video that made it a lot easier to bring the HP down of these headhunter bosses. Let's see how that goes in the future.

Some things I'm looking forward to but honestly have no idea when they are supposed to start occuring - are the different difficulty dungeons where you earn keys and can upgrade certain things in different ways. I should probably start reading up a little to prepare for the higher levels as currently I'm just running blind with no idea what to expect other than trying not to die while leveling up as fast as I think I can.

Level 30-37

Expect some more gameplay posts from here on out, while it's quite lowish effort, putting some time into some gameplays feels like it helps my brain get back to its roots and stay active. I could also use any extra funding I could get at this point to continuously buy holozing alpha vials to further fund the project and speed up certain things there while hopefully not having to power down too much HP to do so.

If you feel it's overrewarded you can naturally downvote or not upvote, it's all good. I'll try get a working headset + mic here soon so I can add some commentary for a better viewing experience. Maybe I can even use part of the post rewards to find a helper willing to go through the videos and cut out highlights to turn into shorts or add to the end of these posts for more entertainment. I'd gladly share post beneficiaries with that person if they exist and are interested in this task, let me know in the comments!

Forfeiting part of the post rewards to commentrewarder and the community account.

Sort:

Necromancer in D2 was my favorite character. The combo of Iron Maiden and Blood Golem was OP.

Did you face The Butcher yet? That is usually where my hardcore journey ends.

Haha I did in my first attempt but surprisingly managed to defeat him with the barbarian. No butcher with the druid so far but I'm sure it's any time now.

This 'hardcore' mode remember me of OSRS, do u ever play that one?

whats that?

Holy c...! Why u having that downvotes?

Osrs mean Old School RunesScape, a MMORPG multiplayer game.

The graphics and the game itself looks pretty interesting. When I get tired of Path of Exile 2 I might need to go and purchase this. I had so much fun playing D3 over the years, that it kind of makes me sad I haven't played this yet.

nice and cool Druid

Enjoy your games, brother 😂 Have a good day

nice post, sir! (just kidding :D)
happy hardcore! ;)

I'd love to play this game, but it seems that my damn PC doesn't have enough requirements to run smoothly, and anything crashing makes me angry

Aprovecha el sistema de paragon A medida que subas de nivel, desbloquearás el sistema Paragon, que te permite personalizar aún más a tu personaje.

yup, playing games IS a great way to let go of stress and get the mind in a casual state.. well, I guess that depends on what game u are playing. 😉😎👊

Playing hardcore mode is already a huge challenge, and it's been great following your journey as a druid in Diablo 4! Really cool to see your strategies and progression up to level 37. Adding commentary sounds like a great idea, especially with a good headset. Good luck with the upcoming challenges

With me seeing you play this game am tempted to go download the mobile version again and give it a try out

Sir Nice and useful post.👌

So fun to watch. I played diablo 2 for so so so many years. Hardcore is another level of crazy! Props to you for kicking butt! Keep pushing and believe in yourself. Not sure my comment does much as i'm new to the website but hope I help some. Hope to see more content from you and watch you grow!
