My diamond Master of Indulgences and Shade Walker are ready to be dropped on the market. :p
Although I'm expecting many to want to exit with a lot of cards since they weren't able to but I also think prices will pick up quick due to the hype of NFT's and more players finally being able to buy them. Will be an exciting year, hopefully IMX will have even more nice things waiting for us who've been (and had to be) patient than just being able to trade again. Would you have any guesses if they may introduce a token/airdrop/something else along with the release of the dex?

and you're right, i do wonder how that will play out. i know a ton of people are lamenting the fact that they can't sell their cards right now, but i also know a ton of new players are waiting anxiously to purchase their first cards! that, and the fact that Immutable hasn't done much marketing lately, which i understand completely considering the fact that gas fees hurt the new player experience.
it's going to be the old guard looking to sell their cards as soon as it's feasible, vs. the new wave of players looking to build out their collections, and the new NFT collectors riding the NFT hype train. should be a heck of a battle!
as far as a native token for the IMX platform, i haven't seen anything mentioned by the team, just a ton of speculation from the community so far. i'm definitely crossing my fingers though 😁
Would be a nice surprise but a working exchange is already good enough along with as you mentioned, some upcoming marketing. Honestly yeah, considering the NFT hype right now and most just being art, GU having art, scarcity, usability and a lot of room for growth the dip from people who've been waiting to sell might be very shortlived. Maybe I'll try and hodl on to my Shade Walker a bit longer. 🤣
i agree wholeheartedly. i think one of the most obvious applications for NFTs is in-game items, just because the utility is so obvious. all the convenience of a digital card collection, but with provable ownership and scarcity is the holy grail to me.
and the GU card art is so excellent! some of the cards i find genuinely beautiful. and some, like your Shade Walker, are just impossibly cool. soon as i figure out how to get a print of my diamond Rolling Watcher it's going right on my wall 😂
There should be a way in the future to make some cards not tradable, i.e. stuck on an account forever, and if you do that you can order a physical version of the card + poster and stuff. Now that would be cool! :D
Or a 3rd party that does it at some point down the line. 😎
